Is Levorphanol 2mg Tabs Still Available In Any Pharmacies?

I have been on levorphanol for approx. 12 years and is only medicine I've found that helps my rsd pain along with central and peripheral pain issues. I've tried a lot of med and this drug works the best without vomiting and other side effects. Now less than a week b4 I am going to be out of medicine I get a call from Caremark telling me they can't get it. What is ur suggestion?

Have you checked with other pharmacies near you?

I searched the FDA shortage and discontinuation databases and there is nothing about either one being a problem with this medication. However, there is only one manufacturer, so there's a chance that demand may have exceeded current supply, since the reporting of shortages to the FDA is purely voluntary.

This mediation is an opiate analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Have you ever tried Morphine? It is the closest related opiate to this one.

Try compounding pharmacy. They may have liquid or power form of the active ingredient and can make it for you.
