I am taking Phentermine 37.5 mg and am wanting to start taking depression medication called Pristique. Is this safe to do?

I am on prestique and phentermine 37.5 and have no problems. I take my prestique at night before bed.

There aren't any interactions listed to contraindicate using the two together, however, you should ask your pharmacist just to be certain.

Phentermine is an appetite suppressant commonly used to aid in weight loss, in the US it is often prescribed under the brand name Adipex.

Pristiq contains the active ingredient Desvenlafaxine, this is an antidepressant of the SNRI class.

Common side effects may include: nausea, insomnia, headache and dry mouth.

I have been taking both Pristique and Phentermine as well. I take 37.5mg Phen, and 50mg Pris. I wonder sometimes if the Phen could be messing with my pristique, but it is hard to know for sure because a few months before I started the Phen, i had been really bad about taking my pristique every day, so I had a lot of ups and downs, I was only taking my pristique for 2 or 3 weeks every day before I started the Phen, so it's hard for me to tell if I'm more or less normal to where I was before the Phentermine
