Is There A Kind Doctor In North Jersey?
UpdatedI don't want to 'doctor shop' and have had the same doctors for many years but they stopped prescribing pain medications for fear of being investigated. I am 60 years old, on Medicare only since a head-on crash in 2008 (not my fault), have a complex history of MCTD (in the Lupus family), vasculitis, need surgeries that I cannot afford, and couldn't do the simplest things (such as housework, going out, shopping, cooking, etc.) until my neurologist prescribed 5 mg. of Roxicodone 3x a day. Needless to say, my tolerance has increased and I need to take 2 at a time (6 a day). I want to go to one understanding doctor who will take Medicare and not want to do a million expensive, invasive procedures; I have been through the mill with physical therapy, TENS, spinal injections, the whole 9-yards. That we even need a board for this issue is crazy. I am very new to this and wonder if we are read and followed by the state or honest people in similar situations? Any help is appreciated.
