Injecting Oxycodone

Is it safe to dissolve these pills in water and inject them? I have not been able to find anything regarding any additives or binders in Oxycodone IR pills that might make injection unsafe or ineffective. The 5mg pills are small chalky and white and appear uncoated, although when placed in a small amount of water after crushing, not all of the white residue completely dissolves, even upon moderate heating.

I can't tell you anything about the exact inactive ingredients, without knowing who the manufacturer is, however, the fact that they do not completely dissolve has obviously already given you your answer.

Almost all pills contain some type of binders and fillers and a lot of them are not meant to be broken down by the human body, but are normally expelled in your waste.

If you try to dissolve them or crush them for snorting, you are putting these substances into your body in a way in which is cannot process them out. This creates the very real risk of blockages, that could lead to strokes or embolisms.

You also run the risk of overdosing, by getting too much of the medication, at once.

Regarding IV'ing any drugs, and I have in the past done plenty when younger, then Jesus Christ Delivered me Late 1980. DO NOT DO IT, it is dangerous. Reserve it to DR using Iv only. Since becoming clean through Christ Jesus is Alright with me 10 years re vergin then it happened I take some MED OXYcoden oxy morphine. I use meds and God I believe has given me Control over Abuseing them to badly. Intravenous use is stronger and direct pump rush But not worth it. Dangerous before christ in my life I was doing it and the person was blown and went through vaine arm swelled up burn had to get Hospelized and block

The reason people get hurt is because helpful information is withheld by self righteous people who think they have the power/right to stop others from using. If someone wants to abuse it they are going to try anything. At least share useful information to help people. And saying it's dangerous or what ever is not useful. No s*** it's dangerous. You make it more dangerous by withholding helpful info.

Oh and one more thing, heroin wouldn't be killing so many people if the government and self righteous people weren't taking away controlled dosing. If I have a 30 mg tab and choose to take it, at least I know exactly how much I'm taking. With heroin one never knows exactly how much opiate is actually in the mix. Wake up and realize that you can not stop people from using no matter what you try. But you can make it safer by providing useful information and a way for a user to at least control their dosing. I used OxyContin for years and never knew a person to OD. Once they where taken away, I've known 3 people who have died from heroin overdose and two who have died from violent crimes involving opiate drugs. That's 5 people in less then 2 years. Compared to 0 in over ten years before the OP change.
