For anyone else curious, yes Isosorbide Mononitrate is the active ingredient in Imdur, so that is what the generic would be called. The ER means it is a time released formulation.

Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness and headache.
The headaches have sometimes been so severe that the medication had to be discontinued.

My mother seems to have hallucinations after she takes this medicineo . Is that a side affect. She is 92 and does need that. She has congenital heart diese and takes several meds but this the one that seems to set her off.
