Alternatives For Rezak And Zanor Sr?

Updated

I am on Rezak 20mg a day (Generic for Prozac) and Zanor SR 1mg a day.(Azor)

I have been on antidepressants for the last 26 years. The reason was that I had a chemical imbalance (so the Dr said) and was put on tablets. As time has gone by the tablets have been changed. There is always a better one on the market. To cut a long story short, and not bore you, the bottom line is ARE THERE NATURAL TABLETS available in these modern times.

Lately I have not been myself.I don't know if it is the new generic that I have been put on. Every time a generic comes out our medical insists we take that particular one as they only pay for the cheapest brand. Prozac has so many generics out. It is just not funny. The recent one is Rezak. I have put on so much weight in the last 4 months it's unbelievable. Secondly this tablet has taken away my sex life completely, which is rather disturbing as I am very happily married.Thirdly it has made me into a non caring person which I was never before.

What I am wanting to know is surely there must be something else or a natural tablet that can assist me with my so called chemical imbalance. The way I am feeling at the moment is unacceptable to me. I want to help myself, I want to feel better like I used to feel.

I have accepted that I will have to take something for the rest of my life.

PLEASE is there anyone who can make a suggestion would be so grateful.

Unfortunately, you are still not going to find any natural supplements that are proven to work, like prescription medications. They are just not extensively tested like medications.

They can also be much stronger and cause just as many side effects, such as the weight gain, just like prescription drugs.

Have you spoken to your doctor? You may need to adjust your dosages or try different medications.

Some herbal supplements that people with mood disorders include St. John's Wort:

and Valerian Root:
