Hydrocodone Appear On A Urine Test?

I take Norco 3 times a day and 30 mg of Embeda two times a day. I had to do a urine test last month and it came back that I either wasn't taking enough of the Norco or taking too many. I never abuse my medication and I take it as prescribed. What would cause this?

I live in Springfield MO and the very nxt month after i took my meds the month before and got another urine test 2 months in a row i got tested,i don't understand why it would show a negative for my Norco the month before and i wasn't told anything about the current urine test,they will probably tell me when he go back n September,the only thing I can think of it being is because i get up early and i have all my meds took before bedtime,i don't know if I am taking them to soon or what,i just wanted to know if anyone knew why it would show up negative when I take them 3 time's a day Norco 10/325 and Embeda 30 mg 2 times a day.The Dr say my test came back showing I'm either not taking enough or taking to many,i don't know it makes no sense,i have never abused my meds,my Norco is PRN but I hurt so bad I have to take them 3 times a day that's why I don't understand why it showed that on my test.

I take 2-4 7.5 mg hydrocodone a day but started taking phentermine to lose weight and hopefully ease up on the pain meds. I went 4 days taking .5 to 1 hydrocodone. My did did a random UA 24 hrs after my last pill and said there were no opiates in my system. I am a water drinking fool, I'm 5'5" and weigh 214. From all I'm reading, the phentermine, water and weight could all factor in if being out of my system that fast. My doc left a msg that he will no longer give me pain meds and I have to go to a pain mgmt clinic now. I feel so dirty and I have done nothing wrong. I left a msg for a callback to speak with me about it but he hasn't.

Hi Tony,
Im not sure what is,going on with the pain management Dr's, I'm thinking they are just finding reason to tell us people who do hurt and do need pain meds that we aren't taking them correctly because I think in my own personal experience they want to find reason to not give them to you thanks to the new DEA laws which I think is totally ridiculous, what I will never understand is how the DEA can have any right to take away our medical rights.I have written our governor of Missouri and he said that they are watching this really close,people on the streets get their hands ahold of pills and they are just killing their self,that's WHY we will now either be cut down or completely cut off,the best thing you can do is just take them as prescribed and if you get a drug test and it comes back neg the Dr is just looking for a reason,I have chronic pain and always will but I still don't see how my test's always come back showing that I'm not taking or taking to many and that is simply not true,I take as perscribed and always have, I do not lie to any Dr about my medication, I hope it gets better for you and I think what I will do is not drink so much water the day before I go to Dr because I know I'm gonna get tested again, ugh why do people in the streets have to ruin it all for us people who really need meds for our pain.IT'S VERY AGGRAVATING AND MAKES ME MAD!!!keep in touch Tony and I will let you know what Dr say's to me nxt month after my drug test.Best of luck to you.

I have been taking norco 5-325 for a little bit over a year. My doctor told me a few weeks ago that I had to do a urine sample so I did it no problem. A couple weeks later they sent me a letter stating that the doctor can no long give me Norfolk cause I abused them. So I called the office and they told me that my test came back that I don't have Norfolk in my system and they test two weeks back. I couldn't believe it cause I take 1 and a half a day and took one before my appointment. Now I have to find another doctor or go through pain. I have DVT in my left leg and veins collapsing in my right leg and go through much pain in both legs and need the medication just to walk. I take a blood thinner so I can't use aspirin and nothing else helps.
