How Safe Is Kurzyme?

I am 64yrs old, and just got a booklet ad on a Dr. Dicqui Fuller where it states info on this product called KurZymeso. I would like to know if has some side effects? The Drs claim I have Lupus so I do have sore joints, poor memory, allergies, poor circulation and the list goes on n on! Plus headaches almost every day! Am tried of taking medcines that don't work for long! So am I able to take this product without having side effects? Thank you!

KurZyme is an over the counter supplement, said to aid with various health problems, such as digestive issues.

That said, everything carries the risk of side effects, the problem is, when it comes to supplements, the side effects are not studied and they are not proven to actually help with anything.

Mary, with such a serious health condition, it is also probably not a good idea to try this, without checking with your doctor. Some supplements and herbs can react badly with other medications.

Have you talked to your doctor about it?

Thank you for answering, but I have Lupus which the dr. said is in the blood, and I am not given anything for it, other than medicine for the headaches, which sometimes does not work! so that is all the help they give me, other than to live with pain which I do not like the headaches keep me from going out n doing things I love. Plus I can't go around in sun or heat, or people with strong perfume, as it gives me a bad headace which can n does last for hours! that is why I ask about this product. Thank you!

Hi Mary,

You definitely need digestive enzymes and good immune boosting supplements and Kurzyme contains a plentiful supply of both. Autoimmune diseases are becoming more understood . It is thought that undigested food particles escape through the gut-Leaky Gut Syndrome- where they travel through the bloodstream and will often lodge in body tissues. The immune system sees these as foreign objects, goes into overdrive and attacks the nearby healthy cells as well. The main concern with the Kurzymes would be the Ginkgo as it thins the blood and most likely your headache medicine does as well. If you could possible stay of your medicine while trying the Kurzyme it really could benefit you. Also you need to make sure you are not too acidic.

You need to keep your system alkaline. Make sure to get plenty of Calcium along with Magnesium and it is very important to take Vitamin D3 especially since you must avoid the sun! Swanson is a good source for supplements. Search the Web for lists of alkalinizing foods and foods that make you acidic. Stress also makes one acidic. If you have a juicer you should be drinking at least one green drink each day. Kale is fantastic adding carrots and apples would be a great place to start. Eat watermelon too. Almonds and apricots are very alkalinizing. Limit meats as they are very acid forming. Yoga and Meditation would also be great to help with your healing. If you take steps to get your body in balance you will heal and you will be able to avoid the steroids and the other horrible medicines being prescribed for auto-immune diseases. They only will result in worse complications over time. Possibly even cancer!

I have serious stomach issues(years of prescription misabuse, from my doctors orders) My stomach cannot process food on it's own. I have to take digestive enzymes every time i eat. And it is helping me alot. What I need to know is, Is Kurzyme similar to a digestive enzyme? Will it promote the same affects as my digestive enzyme?

I have been a registered nurse for approx. 6yrs, before that a state enrolled nurse since 1970. before my marriage in 1960 I had worked with many animals and especially horses and heavy work I am now 74yrs and have recently lost my partner last August and was his carer for the past 3yrs or more. I suffer a great deal from backache, neck and knee ache I can also sleep the clock round and have very little energy. At the moment I am watching TV and little bits of housework. I have taken all the supplements I have ever found in magazenes and adverts but none have helped my pain. Can you suggest anything I can take. .

I take prescription drugs for high blood pressure, over active thyroid, and "water pills". Supplements I take :- Vitamin pills, co q10, Vit D, eyewise. Would it be safe to take KurZyme as well

Cindy, are you for real?

1) Taking digestive enzymes orally is a complete waste of time as they will be destroyed by the stomach acid. The only exception is protease, which is made in the stomach anyway, ingesting it is unlikely to have any effect, positive or negative.

2) "Keeping an alkali system" is complete and utter nonsense, the stomach HAS to be acidic or no protein can be digested at all, even a high school student knows that.

3) Telling someone to stop taking the medicine their doctor has prescribed in order to take this is potentially dangerous.

4) Looking at the list of ingredients in this, it's a mixture of complete nonsense and genuinely useful nutrients that you can get for a fraction of the price elsewhere.

I only found this site after looking this product up after my ederly father received a postal ad for this making absolutely ridiculous claims that have absolutely no scientific value at all. The product is clearly a scam.

Have received - unasked for - 'Kurzyme' from 'Natures Home Remedies'. located in the USA. They allow a few days in which recipients may return the same for a refund, having somehow obtained our bank details and charged for this product. They give a UK tele contact No. of their 'Customer Service Agent' (CSA) from which to obtain an Authorization, (an 'RMA') which must be entered on the return package. They warn that refunds will not be made without the RMA being endorsed on the returned envelope. Daily tele calls to to the CSA are only answered by a short auto response message and endless music. We therefore have no RMA and will not be given a refund!!
Very grateful for advice please,
