How Long Will Methadone Stay In My System At This Dose

I just started a new job that doesn't test on initial hire but rather between 1 and 4 months after you start and there's no warning when it's coming.

I was on Oxycodone 30's, between 2 and 3 a day for quite a while. I can't work in withdrawls but I needed to kick it because I became dependent and it actually made my back pain worse after a while. So I got a handful of methadone and dosed daily at the following numbers:

Day 1: 40mg, Day 2: 30mg, Day 3: 30mg, Day 4, 20mg, Day 5, 20mg, Day 6 20mg. Nothing past that.

That got me through the oxycodone withdrawls pain-free and I had no withdrawls from the methadone at that dose for that period of time....though I know treating with methadone is dancing with the devil.

I expected it to be out of my urine around 7 days past my final dose...but I'm reading horror stories of people still popping on tests nearly a month after their last dose and it's got me very, very worried!!

I'm not looking for "well my friend said this and this" or "drink water all day long and you'll probably be okay"....I'm hoping to find a legitimate and scientific answer because I'm quite nervous about the whole deal. Thank you to anyone who can help me out here.

In a urine test, Methadone is usually the longest detectable narcotic, since it can be detected for about 5 days, after last dosing.

Most other narcotics are detectable for about 4 days, maybe 5 in some people, but that's still a bit of a stretch.

There are, of course, always other factors that are going to play a role, such as your metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. So, the time frames I mentioned are really only relevant to the average person, of good health, on no other medications, with no other factors affecting it...whoever that is! LOL
