How Long Does Valium Stay In Your System? (Page 14)

I've taken maybe five or six Valium in the past two weeks. The last one about two days ago. Other than that I have not taken anything besides Suboxene. Does anyone know how long it takes to get out of your system?

I understand the rather abrupt response to THIRTY's post about abusing 30 Val's etc etc, I appreciate an informative response is all we are looking for! But sadly THIRTY is not alone! I no loads of people who abuse Valium, he (or she) knows they need to get help!! But that wasn't the question was it? I can proudly say I've just come off a 11 year methadone AND horoine addiction (street bought meth) with a proper subutex script, I bought in sum Val's which again are the usual ones u get from who ever u can, (I hav a site in India) so they tend to be the cheap ones made in India! These r a mixture of doses altho say 10mg each, cud be cut with anything but hey! some are strong, others I reckon have about 1mg (if any) so 'munched' my way through a good 25 on day 1 and another 10-20 over the next 2 days which followed!! Yes, that is dangerous, yes! (As the English ads say) I need to talk to frank! But having no Dr,who will prescribe diazepam where I live, I felt I needed something to help me as I had the worst withdrawal experience I couldn't even begin to describe! Felt like a raw cluck! But after 5 days of hell I'm stable on the subs and don't even wake up clucky in the mornings? (I'm on 10mg a day) but obviously next week I'll have my first proper drugs test, since being smack and meth clean!! But the advice I've been given is Val's can last upto between 14-28 days, especially in piss tests, swab tests not so much, Gear is cut with allot of benzo's so my drug worker will blame that if my test still shows up for Valium (as I'm not gonna admit to taking street Val's) I'm honest with them but not quite that honest! but to be clean of the evil stuff is great, and positive in itself so my drug team won't worry over a positive for Val's, BUT that's becoz I'm within a programme, if it was for a job, I'd probably not be met with the same appraisal! Anyone brave enuf to finally stop messing with street drugs or even abuse prescribed ones (that's how I started!) deserve all the praise in the world! Not be stigmatised! Good luck everyone on your journey! Xx But don't feel ashamed asking for help! I did for way to long! MOST drug teams are really nice people, and they certainly ain't the police, they just want u to get better!

what about 5mg how long would that take after 20 years. last 2 weeks down to 2mg.

Don't really understand what you mean 5mg daily for 20years? 2 weeks ago ? If so that would take a month to 6 weeks to be complete out your system

Seriously doubt it. ...you probably get high all the time and took alot more than you are saying......theres no way!!!

I took 10 mg of valium and I tested positive 80 hours later. I submitted a urine sample 9 days after I initially took the 10 mg valium and I tested negative.

Hi I'm on suboxone about 2 months ago I had to start the program over BC I had some insurance problems with my last doctor so for a month before I found my new doctor I tried to fight the craveings and the anxiety but after a while I had to try to take something for anxiety so I started taking vaiulm 0.5 mg I took them every day 3 times a day for a month until I got back in with a new doctor which I'm doing good again and staying away from all of that but the thing is even though I haven't touched a Benz since I've been back to my doctor I still test positive for benzos I told my doctor everything I've told yaw she says my levels are dropping as long as they keep dropping every week when I come in we will be OK but it just seems wild after almost 2 months I'm still showing positive for benzos my doc said I just might have a slow matabalisim but its freaking me out what is yaws thoughts on this

I don't know why people do the drugs and ask how long does it stay in your system knowing damn well they have to take drug tests. Whether it's random or not.

It is not a narcotic, it is a benzodiazapine used to treat anxiety and panic disorder.

I would ask that question because I got kicked out of treatment for using valium even though I had not touched it in 5 weeks and apparently it was still in my system, I was devastated I had no clue I was going to get kicked out and I was lost totally confused. I have since realized that it probably was still in my system because I am heavier and I lost a bunch of weight in treatment , got off the booze calories and ate more healthy and got exercise, and apparently valium stores in your fat stores so when I lost weight it looks like some came out looking like I used. That was in a way a traumatic experience getting kicked out of treatment for something I didn't think I did. I was devasted the world was over, I was suicidal the only way I could cope was to go right back out there. My brain went well if they think I'm using I might as well use. It took me 3 and half months to get back into treatment and I could have easily died in that process. I got back into treatment and I was terrified. Everytime I had a pee test I would have a panic attack thinking I was going to get kicked out. I went into that treatment center the second time with the idea that if I got kicked out again I would end it all because I knew I wouldn't be able to take the pain a second time. I even got flashbacks in a sense, like especially near the time where I was completing an activity that I did the last time before I got kicked out I thought I was going to get kicked out again and started to panic. I got through it completed the 10 week program, but it was a brutal experience. Though I did learn a lot. Before going in that time I even detoxed off alcohol by myself instead of using valium because I was so terrified I would get kicked out again, that was not pleasant. I didn't fully understand why I got kicked out so I was getting paranoid that people were slipping drugs in my food and drink and that someone was going to get me kicked out again. I had come to the conclusion at that point that someone had set me up. It was a horrible experience. I share this only to share my story and shed light why someone might ask these questions and let people know mistakes do happen in drug tests and addictions treatment. I'm just grateful I made it back to treatment because I almost didn't. I was this close to not going but a voice inside told me I had to leave the situation I was in now or I wouldn't make it to treatment. I'm am so glad I listened now but at the time I was terrified and though well I will get kicked out anyways so why even try.

My treatment Center told me that as long as you have a valid prescription for the "medication" that under hipa the lab that administers the drug screen can't inform the company that sent you there about the positive result.

That's not the way it works well I went trust me I got kicked out of treatment for having benzos in my system and I had a prescription for them.

If someone only had 1 5mg valium through nasal. Would it still be in urine 9 days later, how many days would it take to be negative. Would it be below cut off level in urine.

Probably because they have a problem and are on drug tests. Trying to time it right up to the last minute. I have worked with addicts and found that if they know a drug will not show up in their urine after 3 days they will take the drug up until 3 days and 60 seconds before their urine test. If you do this please get help!

Ok. I took 2. 5mg Valium. How long does it stay in your system ?? I see some people say 22 days and some say 3-7 days. I would really like to know your thoughts. May go for a UA preemployment any day now. Thanks.
