How Long Does Phentermine Stay In Your System

How long would it take phentermine to get out of my system in a drug test sent to a lab? I take it daily, I had went two weeks without taking any, and it showed up. I know the half life is 7-20 hours, but I was sure it would be out, but it wasn't. I asked my doc yesterday and he said it would be out in 5-6 days. How is this possible? Anyone else have this problem?

It can really vary from person to person, since we are all different. One person might process it out sooner than another.

However, if you are taking it as legally prescribed, it being detected should not be a problem. Generally, the concerns when someone is tested involve abusing a medication, or taking something that has not been prescribed.
