How Long After Taking Meloxicam Can I Take Ibprophen

I've took meloxicam for five days for a toothache and discontinued use two days ago I'm having pain again is it ok to take a ibuprofen

It should be fine, as long as your prescriber approves. It's usually taking them at the same time, together, that may cause problems, according to the NIH, such as liver damage, liver failure, increased risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, and stomach ulceration.

I just started taking meloxicam 15mg daily (supposed to be for a month for plantar fasciatis on both heels). The doctor specifically told me to stop taking ibuprofen, naproxen or any other NSAID. He said I can take tylenol. So, I would check with the doctor who prescribed the meloxicam. One side effect i: Ibuprofen and meloxicam taken together could increase the risk of bleeding. But its important to know more of your medical history for the doctor to make that decision and recommendation.

The plantar problem can be cured by a shot into the foot. I struggled with it for 2 years doing therapy, my friend a foot surgeon told me it would probably never go away without a shot. It worked great by a week I was ok, but do wear a shoe insert to assure it doesn't come back.
