How Can I Get Subutex Not Suboxone? (Page 16)

Updated

I don't know how to go about this as I am shaking and can barely focus, I need help! Please. I fear that my life is going to end from my abuse of opiates. I am currently taking 250 mgs of oxycontin per day. I have a loving fiance and a stepdaughter that I want to be here for. I sit here with cold sweats, and fear going out just because I may make the fearful turn to the meds. Any and all info on how to obtain Subutex would be much appreciated. This wasn't what I wanted my life to be, and I can not let it end this way..Please help me. I am not a religious man but I pray for help as I am at my wits end with this drug.

The only way to get off of the opioids is to reduce or stop taking them, but how quickly or slowly you reduce is up to you. If you jump off cold turkey, especially without help from any outside meds, you are going to be pretty miserable. Hopefully you do not have to work during this. You can very slowly taper off though, going down a certain percentage of your normal dosage at a time, then having a period of adjustment before lowering the dose again, until you are off. But again, doing this with absolutely nothing to ease your symptoms will not be easy.

LIZ: Thanks for the info. Yeah, I didn't figure this Withdrawal Ease stuff was going to be a miracle cure, but I was wondering if it helped at all. I will save my money. Good for you that you were able to get off of Subs. That's awesome!!

PAUL: I know, I was just wondering if it helped AT ALL, but according to Liz on here, NOPE. I will save my money. I am currently tapering down very slowly on my Methadone dose, and Clonidine, Soma and MMJ are the things that have helped me the most.

Paul, I would never in a million years go back on Suboxone. That's the worst drug to get off of. I've never taken illicit drugs, I just got injured at work and I'm on worker's comp. I can never work again. Workers Comp. is very choosy about what drugs they will pay for, so I just have to go along with the program. Thanks so much for your post and don't worry, no more subs for me. I only wish people could realize that yes, it's an easy fix to get off opioid's but then you have to get off the sub's, and that's the hard part. I did have depression, very bad but it went away and I feel great now. Thanks.

I found myself in a very similar situation (unfortunately) and genuinely feel your pain and anguish. I Would personally recommend suboxone over subutex as it has a naloxone opiate blocker in it, taking away the possibility off a relapse. However, what I would say is that like any other replacement therapy, try and taper off it within a year or so as you will find yourself in the same situation both mentally and physically. Take care and give yourself a break, it can happen to the best off us as these drugs are (as you already know) extremely addictive.

Exactly you know you don't need anything specific? So just go to rehab and man up or else you're going to get sick and possibly die? If you want that and go for it I'm just giving you a dose of the truth I've been through hell and back on the stage 4 cancer patient and I've been through it all so just stop writing posts that you actually know the internal answer to taking up other people's time that need actual help.

SCOLLIO: Subutex (buprenorphine) itself IS the "opiate blocker". So many mis-informed people on here. The only reason Naloxone is in Suboxone is to keep people from injecting it.

What do u mean because I am in a bad situation n I'm illergic to suboxone. I do have insurance .Medicaid n Medicare. I was going to the suboxone doctor which I paid out of pocket for the visit n insurance covered script except co-pay. The clinic does not prescribe subutex at all. They were not very helpful while I was there n when I went inpatient again bc I was having such a hard time the facility said I showed signs of allergies towards suboxone so the clinic told me they could no longer prescribe them to me n just left me not to dry. I want help n cannot find it anywhere.

The dude is looking for help not to be analyzed and if tastes like what you were told, that's not accurate either because people have been abusing the suboxone too. There will always be somebody to do what they say can't be done.

Yes suboxone is addictive and unless done right you will withdrawal but I beg to differ in the severity of withdrawal methadone is far worse to come off of ...but as with any addictive substance you must be medically assisted in your taper to wean off but of course we all know this or we wouldnt be in this situation addiction knows no boundaries we can all fall the gettin up and staying up is the problem .I read so many comments on here that make no sense like taking subs and benzo's or subs and other opiates or requesting subutex instead of suboxone come on guys get real find a comprehensive medically assisted detox program (not a money game pill mill) or dont take up a slot some one is literally DYING to get these are lives we are talking about use common sense for as long as money .drugs . and greed dominate the world we will have dr's out here giving deadly combo's and milking the sufferers god bless ..oh and by the way im clean from opiates eccept suboxone for 11 months and am getting my life back and preparing for my tapering process . Best wishes and luck to all those who still suffer

Subutex will let you keep using opiates, Suboxone will not. Why exactly are you asking for Subutex specificially?? THese days, not many doctors will prescribe Subutex for that very reason, it allows people to keep using opiates as it does not contain naloxone. Are you being really honest with yourself about WHY you are wanting this??

CHOOKYGIRL: Why do you think you can take opioids along with Subutex and not Suboxone? Let me guess....because the Naloxone is an "opiate blocker", correct? Well, please stop dispensing mis-information because you are wrong. The Bupenorphine is a partial-agonist, partial-antagonist opioid, which means the BUPE ITSELF is a "blocker". You can not "abuse opioids along with Subutex", unless you consider hard-core precipitated withdrawals to be part of the fun. I sincerely hope no one listens to what you just wrote, because you are going to send someone into a bad rattle.

Idk much except I'm an addict who doesn't want to be. I have CPTSD, bipolar with mania, insomnia, ADHD, on n on with mental health from abuse n trauma from a very young age thru recently. I know I've gone inpatient a few times now n although weak n I do go thru the withdrawal more comfortably n I feel more not crazy n hopeful to get better. When I get out n start my suboxone from a clinic I feel literally like I'm sick all over again but worse n my mental health symptoms go even more crazy. I talk to the doctors n go thru this for 1 to almost 3 months was the longest without help relief or advice as to What's happening to me. The only thing I know is that the meds inpatient don't do that to me n I've done everything to try to solve this problem. A doctor recently suggested I was illergic to the medication n just stopped prescribing it n said they were not licensed to give me anything else. I found out that subutex is what they give me inpatient n I know suboxone is what I get at these clinics that cost me hundreds of dollars a month to become crazier n sicker.

CHOOKY: You REALLY need to do some more research before posting nonsense on here. The reason I wanted Subutex rather than Suboxone is because the Naloxone exacerbated the chronic migraines and nausea I was already suffering. NOT because I wanted to "keep using"....since it is no easier to "keep using" on Subutex than it is on Suboxone.

750mg of methadone??? I think it's safe to say that that much would most likely kill you and there's not a doctor on this planet that would or is even allowed, to prescribe a person that amount. If you are truly taking that much off the street, I really pray your not, but damn you're lucky to wake up each day! I will pay that you quickly get the help you are seeking from a doctor who will give you suboxone.

TINKERBELL: I'm thinking that's a typo. 750mgs of Methadone would kill someone.

Wow dude, 750?!? Ya no one will take you and suboxonrs ceiling effect wont touch that. You need to wean down to like 40 mg to be able to switch to subs. A doctor has u prescribed on that?!? I hope you meant just 75

Howdy guys n ladies, I do believe it would have to be a typo, I too had a methadone experience at our local clinic. I was raised to 197 mgs. Which was debilitating. I'm not a fan of it. It works for some and not for others. I regret to this day I went that high. Even small doses (30 to 60 mgs or mgds or mgls what ever they call it) is very hard to withdraw from. It seems to take approximately 3 months to get over it. I'm hoping the suboxone is not that difficult. I don't seem to be able to get off the pharmaceutical opiate without a crutch. God bless you all n I'm grateful for this site and all the info I get from it.
