How To Snort The New Formula Opana Er (Page 19)

Updated

I became a pain patient after I fell off a horse in March of last year and sustained spinal injuries which are still VERY painful. Opana ER was the first thing doctors gave me that helped at all and now that they have changed the formula I'm in a lot more pain. I want to break down the formula so I can insufflate it, as I am told I may get more pain relief and increase bioavailability of the drug. The new formula hardly offers the same pain relief, Please help me!

Just to weird. Victoria and Vktoria are still the same person. You had victory by going through a divorce. This name change goes way deeper than what we are reading.

TO: Bob...

Lol, your funny, whats weird about changing the spelling of our names? I enjoy being a bit different, and Honestly I have spelled my name that way since ??? A long time ago..lol Just throughout my marriage I couldnt be myself, my ex husband was VERY controlling, abusive, and a whole lot of other things and Im not ashamed to talk about it, i know others have gone through marriages just like that and may still be?? Men or women..there are abusive women to men also...

So I would put myself in another place many times in my ex marriage, anything to get through it for myself, and my sons..Changing my name is just one way I felt it was a NEW START for myself, to build as a stronger woman..It may sound silly or odd to others, but we all face and concour our past or things that happened to us in different ways, this was a "way" for me,,,and I honestly love it...I get compliments on my name spelling and when I do, it just reminds me how strong I have been and still am...15 years with my ex was tuff, but I wanted to be a strong role model for my sons, and wait until they were old enough to understand a divorce, so thats what I did..;)

I have nothing to hide, and will answer any questions you or anyone else may have..;) No secrets, just honesty and I Am proud to say....I am proud of myself for where I am at today with all I have been through, if a name change "spelling" did it for me, then so be it..;)))

Im not a murderer, not a freek shooting up schools, I am kind to everyone I meet, I want to help others, and I feel being through a lot that others have gone through or are going through, talking to them, and trying to help, its what I wish to do..I can take critcism because I have learned to not take it personally...I know others dont truly want to be angry or negative towards others, they just may have other things going on in their lives that interupt who they really are, I was there...;) Im not by far living a perfect life Bob, but I am willing to help and try...Maybe I can receive help from others as well?? but being positive about my future, is the only path I wish to take in my life now..

Any questions, I will honestly answer them, I have nothing to hide, and have no reason to lie..;)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE....;))))

That is quite the nice response. Let me pull my foot out of my mouth! You are indeed a very positive person and wish I had more of your attitude. Same here with a divorce but must say I was on the receiving end from my ex. Very abusive woman and even taken to jail for blind siding me one night. Dads words always rang in my head to never hit a woman. To this day I'd still like that chance. Thanks for getting me to think about not questioning what works for you!

Has anyone else had a problem getting Opana ER?
My pharmacist said there is a major shortage due to production stoppage, in anticipation of the generic release. The problem is that they are having trouble getting those too! What a hassle!

To Vktoria: My neurosurgeon and I have decided to not to perform major back surgery at this time! I'm kinda relieved, and my anxiety level has gone way down as I was terrified to do it! I do have to have the control unit of my spinal cord stimulator replaced(was malfunctioning), but that will be easy in comparison! I had the second ESI done, and it went very well... My rt. SI joint and rt. lower lumbar spine is feeling quite a bit better! Ok... TTYL! Hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day!

TALK TO YOUR DR. BE HONEST. SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE NOT GETTING ADEQUATE RELIEF. BUT IT'S A COP-OUT TO WANT TO SNORT. I AM A CERTIFIED SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR SO I UNDERSTAND. ALSO SOUNDS LIKE YOU WANT TO GET HIGH. YOU COULD DIE! I SEE IT ALL THE TIME.

To:Bob..:)

Hi there, how are you doing? I appreciate your kind words, they are appreciated. I am first going to start out by saying I am sorry about your ex marriage and the way it was. There is so much seriousness and concentration put forth against men abusing women, which it should be, but I truly do not understand why it is not taken as serious and believed as much as it "SHOULD" be when women abuse men. I have seen it many times as in your case, and I am truly sorry that it has happened to you..I in particular KNOW it happens...I visited my parents in 2011 and when I was there, I experienced abuse "verbal" towards my own father, (my daddy) right in front of me, every day, on a constant basis, non stop it seemed. And I sat there and looked at my father who I "REMEMBERED" him as a Strong Man who fougth for our Great Country, Battled Vietnam and still to this day suffers from the agent orange they used then, and My Father who I looked up to and taught me how to hunt and shoot my first shotgun with...And when I looked at my Father all I saw was a broken down man, depressed, maybe ashamed, and embarrased...By just ONE person who was suppose to love him....His wife,,,My Mom... So I know how just ONE person can make another feel totally different inside, not think as theynusually do, and do things they normally wouldnt do if they were in a different situation mentally, physically or even both....

Your a good person, we all make mistakes, If we sit back and do the "What If's",,,It will just drive us even crazier than we already are...;))) lol Keep sharing if you wish, I love to listen, and help in any way...A strangers ear is sometimes the best, and all honesty..Have yourself a great weekend...I like to keep raggae musik going at all times, it keeps me smiling..;)

To Vktoria: I just need the control box of the spinal cord stimulator replaced... the wires and leads can be reused, so I won't need but one incision this time! I'm divorced, and we never had children, so it's just me! Kinda hard at times, as I'm limited in the amount of work and chores I can do around the house. I have family that help me periodically, but they live 2hrs away... I plan on selling my house and moving to where they live. My brother has a ranch east of Austin, Texas where my parents live also. I will stay with them until I have a manufactured house built on the property. Then my nephews and nieces can help me out, and take care of me when I'm old!!! :-D

TO BOB..;)

Hi there, I was wondering if you were gonna come back here on the posts? im glad you did..

Ok, well lets see...I was in a nasty car accident when I was 16 years old..I was the driver but a man ran a stop sign on his way to pick up his wife who worked at the hospital. They predicted his MPH at around 60-70 and mine was 55-60.. I do not remember the accident that much, but I had 4 other girls with me, we were on our way home from school..My passenger was killed instantly, she was drinking a Mountain Dew bottle at the time of the accident, and well, that should tell you the rest about my dear friends incident. The other three including myself were all in pretty bad shape after the incident. All of our bones in our faces were smashed and had to be put together with wires and screws..Drinking out of a straw for 8 weeks wasnt fun thats for sure..My other friends ended up coming out ok and alive as I did. I suffered facial injuries of course, a bad head injury, exploded right knee, and my back was broken in two places, cervical and lower lumbar..

So i still do this day suffer severe migraines from the head injury, knee and hip aches, and my bad was generating in the places it was broken, "pretty painful".. i have been to a doctor on a regular basis since the accident which has been a LONG TIME NOW..I have experienced Cortizone injections, tense units, physical therapy, massage therapy, surgeries, and the worst yet...ORAL PAIN MEDICINES, since 1990.. thats a long time trying to find pain relief, but I managed and just couldnt find a doctor that had any resolution to my chronic pain other than oral medicines, and as we all know the longer we are on them we need stronger and stronger as time goes by and more of it..Not because we WANT TO, but its medically necessary for it, our bodies become tolerant..Why else would they make stronger and stronger medicines??

The sad thing is, I am not bad mouthing all doctors, but its a viscious cycle my friends..The docs put us on medicines, they gain money for monthly visits and procedures, the Pharmecutical companies benefit from that of course, and we as the patients, are stuck with an addiction..Either a mental addiction or physical, sometimes it ends up both..

Then they take the next patient...We are looking to doctors for relief, but are faced with addiction, humiliation, personality changes, family changes, and so on...Now we are "Perceived" as addicts because we need the medicines, for pain relief...I can bet there are very few people out there that WISHED to become addicted to medicines, but I feel it is a get rich scandal for many practioners, pharmaceutical companies, and for our judicial systems as well...Lets face it, this procedure has made a LOT of companies, enforcements, and Doctors wealthy..Its a viscious cycle, and we are the only ones that can help one another fight it, we cant look to anyone else to help us along..

There is so much I would like to discuss, but I dont want you or anyone else to become drowsy and bored of the long paragraphs..But I was there...My body was addicted to medicines, and I truly feared my future with withdrawls and no true help out there..I feel the systems set many up for failure, so I decided to come forth and try my damndest to help, even if it was only through conversations and being there for someone who wished to talk and let it out, its what I needed and I dont want anyone to be alone through it..Im not a miracle worker nor do I think I am, but If I can try, then I feel better about what I went through to get to where I am today, and I want others to feel this good to..

So...I searched and searched for a good pain doctor, and found one, which I am lucky...I was introduced to the "Medtronic spinal pain pump".. i had it surgically put in on June of 2012 and experimented a bbit on the medicine they put it in and finally ended up with Morphine in the pump for my constant control of pain, and it is a miracle machine for me..It is very small in diameter, maybe 2x2 and lies in my abdominal cavity. A catherter connects to it and goes around to my back and the catheter is at about my mid to upper thoracic. This is wonderful and allowed me to get off of pain medicines now all together as of December of 2012.. it is such a small dose into my spinal area that there is a LOW % of medicine that may travel throuout my body, it is put right where the pain is..I have no side affects fromit, i.e. nausea, constipation, withdrawls, nothing...I was able to quit oral medicines very quickly because with the pain pump, you go through absolutely NO WITHDRAWLS from not taking oral medicine instantly..

I now feel absolutely great, very low pain some days absolutely none..No RX's to worry about filling to early or running out because the pain was to bad...everyones pain levels are different, but If it helps atleast 50% of others pain, how great is that huh?

I hope you continue to be on here Bob, and others..W can help one another out, its all we have...;)))

Hi Viktoria, sorry been awhile. Actually at Pharmacey getting pain scripts filled. Sounds like you had a terrible accident todeal with. More than most could handle. Glad you pulled through and finally found something that works for you. That procedure has been discussed for me but every visit to clinic he forgets what he talkedabout last visit. Today I'm waiting for oxy, opana er and opana it. Quite the mixture. I swear generic ir works better than the opana er! One day he'll get it right I hope. Certainley I didn't go through what you did. My problems are neck, lower back now elbows for lunar nervi issues. Hope things go well for you. Talk soon,
Bob

TO BOB...;)

Hi there and Good Friday to you friend..There really is no comparison to injuries we all have because when we hurt, we hurt..It doesnt have to be a tramatic event like mine in order to be in chronic pain, and I know that too..

As for the discussion about the pain pump, your physician may forget about discussing it, but atleast you havent..Doctors can overload themselves as well, but when and if you are ready, you should atleast look into it and read about it..It truly is an amazing device and works so well...I know everyone reacts to treatments differently. My friend on here "Chronic Pain Patient" has a stimulator which is a bit different than the pain pump, but when they fix his...it should help him more as well...

I am glad you wrote back and keeping in touch..I hope your pain stays in limited, you stay happy and keep in touch with me if you wish to..?? Have yourself a great weekend Bob...;)

If you are wanting relief.. Tell your doctor you want to take smaller doses more times a day. They make generic opanas by activis. There is a half moon on one side and 262 on the other side for 15s (white) and 261 on the other side for 7.5(gray). They are much much stronger than the old opanas. Much stronger. They can be snorted as well.. Very easily break or crush.. But there is no need to do that really. Being prescribed 3 40mg a day means being prescribed 8 15mg a day.. So you are taking 15mg every three hours for relief that works. Or you can take 2 every 6.. Or ask for 7.5s .. Either way.. These are the generic brand of opana.. So most every pharmacy carries them and they Re much cheaper than opana er brand by endo and they are 10x better than the new ones and 5x better than the old formula.

Hello Vktoria and all others...
I finally had my control unit of the spinal cord stimulator replaced! Ahhh... so nice to have it working again! I can now lay off the PRN oxycodone...
My pharmacy finally got the generic Opana (oxymorphone) ER in stock, they are much cheaper and definitely work better than the brand ones! I think they are even better than before they changed the Opana formulation...but it could be just a faulty memory...anyway, I feel much better, and that's what counts! I feel like I have been given a new lease on life! Well, take care and god bless!....I am going to start using my name, instead of Chronic Pain Patient.... Brien

Reply to Brien..;)

I am soo happy for you Brien, what a nice post and so happy to hear it working better for you now..How awesome to hear this, maybe one day you MAY be able to eliminate the pills, but for now I am happy to read you saying..AHHHH...LOL

IM HAPPY TO HEAR THE GENERIC opana is working better for people, and the cost is much lower for you all, its nice to hear that others are actually getting relief and they dont have to sell their damn homes in order to get relief, lol..

Im hoping that it isnt abused like the old opanas though, and if they are please everyone, dont snort, inject, or put it in p,aces it doesnt belong other than your mouth, its just an extremely addictive path no one wants to take, if its not strong enough, ask or talk about a different strength??

Ok, enough of that...Again, Brien I am very happy for you and others on their pain relief..Brien you have changed for the better so much, I cant stop smiling when I read your posts..;) GOOD JOB..;)

Have a great weekend everyone...
