How To Snort The New Formula Opana Er (Page 11)

I became a pain patient after I fell off a horse in March of last year and sustained spinal injuries which are still VERY painful. Opana ER was the first thing doctors gave me that helped at all and now that they have changed the formula I'm in a lot more pain. I want to break down the formula so I can insufflate it, as I am told I may get more pain relief and increase bioavailability of the drug. The new formula hardly offers the same pain relief, Please help me!

The suboxone, does it make you feel awkward? From someone who has taken it and for those who want to get off of this pill factory lifestyle, can you tell others what that road to recovery is like? Maybe your story will help others have faith to the road to recovery? If we can help each other get off of these pills, then tell each other how to snort or shoot up, we can win on this web site...I dont care what others say about my posts on helping people get well instead of high, I know there are many more people out there that want to heal theirselves than be sick on pills...so if you can help, they lets do it...;)))

As I stated,Suboxone was very effective for me. BUT, I have had opiate addiction for over 15 yrs. Even though I stopped with Suboxone, the cravings to use never left me. Consequently I relapsed. I just can't find the strength to stay clean. I hate to admit it but I am afraid that I never will.

I myself have been taking Opanas for going on 2 years now and since they have changed the formula in the ERs they do not work as well but I have found a trick to actually make the Opanas 40 er work better and its a simple one. Eat simple as that eat a fating meal, a hamburger a order of french fries a candy bar or a few cookies, there is something about the fatty meal that helps the medication get through the blood, brain barrier better . I myself have found that if i take my er on a empty stomach like they say that you should I get no relief at all but if I eat right before or right after taking the ERs I am actually (nodding) about 45 minutes after eating and after the period of Nodding my pain relief has greatly improved . I am not eating a Big Meal like I said a hamburger or a order of fries, or something as simple as a single candy bar and for me it works great . there is one thing that worries me about these new Opanas and that is the constipation factor with the old Opanas I was well past that stage and now with the new ones there seems to be no getting past that stage and I have tried everything and I just cant go for sometimes like 6 days straight and then when i am able to it feels like i am going to explode . I have tried everything that I can think of and the only thing that seems to work is time and having no room left. Is this happening to anyone else?, and if so what has helped you, because I do need to have a good eviction for the lack of better wording . the last time i seen my Doctor I gained 4 pounds and guess what I lost that 4 pounds in just one eviction and that can not be normal. So if you can Please help.

TO "Dann the Mann": Hey there... Yes, the oxymorphone is fat soluble, which is why it kicks in quicker and stronger when you eat fat rich foods. Also, for the constipation, I use a stool softener called ducosate sodium... I take 300mg per day and it works for me...when things get "bad" I increase the dose and take miralax for a few days. Hope this helps...

Dann... Also, my gastroenterologist said taking Miralax(polyethelene glycol) was the best option, because it is an "osmotic laxative", which means it just keeps the body from absorbing too much water from your waste in the GI tract. This allows for an almost normal function of the bowels! The trick is getting the dosage correct, as too much can be a problem also! The, whole thing is a real pain in the ass...literally!!! I feel for ya, as does most everyone here, it is the #1 side effect of chronic opiate therapy! Hope every thing comes out ok!!! Ok, sorry for the potty humor! BTW... The correct term is evacuation of the bowels, not eviction...that's what the medical community calls it... And I do relate, I went for 12 days once, without relief...It was awful...really awful! And it can be dangerous if it goes on too long, as you can have a perforation of the intestines, get sepsis, and die! I would recommend you see a GI doc, as our condition greatly increases the chances of certain cancers. I just had a colonoscopy and had to have some polyps removed. Thank god they were benign, but left alone, they can easily turn malignant according to my GI doc.

She is right, the new opana suck and as far as snorting them... they do kick in faster if you are in pain, or are withdrawing if you snort, but it goes away faster i am trying to figure out how to break them down also

Hi dan...the BEST way to cure your "constipation" problem is to go and buy ACTIVIA...It works wonders, eat one a day and all your constipation problems will be cured...;))) Trust me, it works wonders.....;))))

Try the generic 15mg or 7.5mg if you doctor will write you the equivalent dosage, the these are generic and the 15mg run anywhere from 4 to 5 dollars a piece these can still be crushed and snorted like the old stop signs

Mindy, if your vommiting your either withdrawing or there is something else going on dear...Tell your doctor whats going on, be honest with them and they can help you..snorting medicine is a BAD BAD solution, and only gets worse from where your at...I am not saying your not in pain, im sure you are but your doctor needs to know so he can help you and there is stuff he can give you to help with your withdrawls and get you on the road to where you should be to manage your pain...If your not with anpain management doctor, they can only do so much for you by certain guidlines now because of all the people who ABUSE pain medicines...Its hard to be honest but it will be the first step to help your sickness, it wont get any better if you dont be honest with yourself and your doctor, or find one that really cares and can manage your pain innother methods than just pills...I recently had the new medtronic pain pump put in the manage the pain and it is awesome and they can manage the pain much better and it doesnt run completely through your body and all of your organs...you dont want to be sick the rest of your life dear, it does get better....the highs from pills is temporary, and the highs without them is a much better place...sorry if you dont like what i have to say, but its the truth...ill help you if you want me too??

actually your an ass and you are wrong.. my dad has a bone disease and he takes opana for the pain and ever since they changed the formula and decided to add plastic to the pill, it no longer helps him. so I had to find away to help him. And this is what I found.
all you need is:
*a sand paper dremel/or pedipaw
*tweezers/or needle nose pliers
*a vitamin c/0r b12 pill
*and a glass bowl.
steps:
*use the tweezers/pliers to get a good grip on pill
*use the sand paper dremel or pedipaw to grind the pill down (be sure to do this over the glass bowl.)
*remember that step 2 does take a while so be patient
*be sure to grind the pill as much as you can so its more of a powder.. if you have a few tiny (and i mean tiny) pieces thats okay.
*now grind a very small amount of the vitiman c/b12 pill into the opana powder. (the point of using the vitiman c/b12 pills are bc it makes it stay a powder and not gel up inside of your nose)
*mix it all up.
*and grab a straw and have at it.

Be sure not to do to much at first because the affect you get from the new opana is much stronger than before. Please becareful the first time you snort it.

Wow, taking all that time to get a DREMEL and make a small pile of PLASTIC to put up your fathers nose...Do you have any idea what your doing to your dads sinuses and frontal lobes?? Do you have any medical background supporting any good in what your doing to your dad.? And you call me an ass?? not only are you doing major damage medically to your father and all the other people on here that are going to try what your saying to do, but your also putting your father in a horrible withdrawl state when he has to get off of OPANA's... I have no doubt your father in in pain, but if he is in that much pain, do him a favor and take him to a real doctor and get him real pain relief, and tell them what your doing to him...PATHETIC....you should be arrested for shoving that s*** up his nose!!!! I would tell my fathers doctor the opanas are not working for him, and find him a doctor that would help him, and not stop until I DID....

I NEED TO NO.....Im sorry your in so much pain, but you sound like your body has become acustomed to the meds you are taking..There are two meanings to the word ADDICTION .your body can be addicted to the meds, and then your mind can become addicted to them..When your mind becomes addicted WITH your body, is where you will have a harder time finding DIFFERENT pain alternatives to help you.. I'm here to help others get their minds off of the pills and seek other alternatives, even if they have to keep taking them until they find other reasonings...Again, I dont care what others say to me, Im on here to help people get their lives back and feel alive again, and pills can take over your MIND.. First.....Be honest with yourself, do you want to take care of the pain, AND not allow the pills to overcome your life? In that I mean counting them daily, making aure you have enough for that day, week, or month to get by until you see the doc again? It can overwhelm yourself and begin to take over your daily lives and confidence, and I know many can feel what I am saying...I WAS THERE...Im not a psychiatrist, but better, I'm a past addictee...I realized I was in pain, but the pills overcome everything else, even made the pain worse...So do what the right thing is, tell your your doctor, be honest with them so they can truly help you and your pain you suffer...There are MANY alternatives out there that can ease almost 90% of the pain we suffer, its the 20th century and we are exploding medically, dont listen to anyone who says there is nothing else out there, I USE TO, and found strength and the 90% pain relief OTHER THAN PILLS, and being a woman....I sure as hell can live with a measily 10% pain, even more if I need to...and so can many others...If you want to really find relief, I will help you..and anyone else, you just have to ASK...;)))

To i need to no:
The purpose of pain meds is NOT to feel something! It is to "help" relieve a good portion of your pain. Trying to "feel" something means getting high, and that is called drug abuse! If you said that to your doc, it is no wonder why they put you on Opana ER...it can't be abused very
effectively! Also, learn to spell and use grammar correctly! Abbreviations are good to use, but damn...you sound like my 12 year old niece texting her friends! Not trying to be rude, I just call it like I see it!
