How Long Does Xanax Stay In Your Urine? (Page 4)

Took 1 and a half pills of Xanax on Monday afternoon. I do not have a clue how many milligrams that is though. And I never took any before that and just took my drug test on Friday afternoon. It was a urine test. Should i pass?

I'm a truck driver (48 states) and have random tested allover the country and benzos have never been on there and I take xanax without a script. Haven't failed a screen yet.

Hey just wondering from experienced opinion on here.
I took 1 Mg of xanax to help me sleep on Friday night. I might have a test at the earliest 10 days from the previous Friday. I do HIIT weight lifting every morning along with sprints. I'm 21, male, and I follow a healthy body building meal plan everyday and I only drink water... Should I be ok? Really concerned and I knew better than to risk this..

"The length of time any drug stays in your system will vary. In large part, it depends on your physiological makeup (e.g., your physical height, weight, your amount of body fat, your age, current state of health, whether or not you exercise mildly-aggressively-or at all). Whether or not you are undergoing any degree of stress (i.e., your "state of mind") at the time you ingest drugs can play a part as well.Still other considerations include your "frequency" of use (1x per day? 3-5x per day?), the "quantity" of drug you used each time, and the "length of time" (days? weeks? months?) of your consistent drug-use prior to your drug test. Even the quality ("potency") of the drug you ingest determines "how long" the drug is detectable in your system when your urine is analyzed (tested) at the lab."
However, for most people, detectable levels (i.e., shows up as a "positive" in a laboratory drug test) of the following drugs stay in the body for these approximate periods of time:

Benzodiazepines (e.g., Ativan, Halcion, Librium, Rohypnol, Valium; Roofies, Tranks, Xanax), 2-3 days

I took 2mg of xanax on Friday evening ... I took a mouth swab today.. should I be ok or not... also I havent taken anything for 8mo.

That isn't necessarily true. It is a benzodiazepine, a highly abused class of drugs. Every hospital I have ever worked at (4) had tested for benzodiazepines.

Thank you for doing this. It sounds like I am in the same boat as many of you. I took my last Xanax (.5mg) about 10 days ago and my last Percocet (7.5 mg) 6 days ago and had to do an unexpected urine test today for a job. Now, I am worried sick what the test will show.

DAMN! There are so many different opinions on here. How does anyone know what to believe. I like the guy who did his own experiment amd passed 4 days later. Sunday I took (2) 0.25 and I drop Friday. All things tell me I should be fine. I think safe then sorry go to walgreens buy a test and if I fail get my ass to an e.r and get a script. C.Y.A fellow users cover your ass. Good luck!

I Had been taking Xanax for about a year, not daily though and i took .25mg or .5 mg a few times a week, some weeks once a day. I had a prescription for it. The last time i took one was March 12th. I have just been selected for a job that is not in this country and upon arrival on May 16th, they will have me take a Urine Analysis. And any trace of a Benzo, whether it was prescribed or not is STRICTLY forbidden. That gives me 9 weeks from the last time i took it to the date of testing.

I am very worried of the outcome, and would really appreciate any thoughts on your end. This is my dream job and i am terrified of the out come :(

Not true. It depends on the specific test. The place I go to regularly for work includes benzos/barbiturates on their 5 panel urine test. Both benzos/barbiturates are under the same category, so they don't know exactly what you took, but all benzos and barbiturates will fail you for the category. Xanax can stay in your system for an extremely long time, up to about 42 days. If you only took it that time though it could be as short as a day and a half, but to be safe I would give Xanax at least 3 days (taking the test on the 4th) preferably 5 days. Always depends on weight/amount/how often etc. but you can get the general ballpark. Benzos work much differently in your body than other drugs, I'm pretty sure drinking excessive water doesn't have much of an effect on how fast your body excretes it. Drinking lots of water the day of the test always helps to dilute, but odds are if it's still in your system you will fail regardless of how diluted it is. A lot of drug tests now are much more accurate than they used to be.

Uhm, are you insane? They test for benzos,.opiates, all of that and they are legal. If it shows up in your system, they will want a prescription to show why you have it in your system...smmfh. you're really misinformed

Methadone does not show up as an opiate because it is a synthetic. It requires a separate test. Just like synthetic THC will not show up in a normal test for marijuana. Also, you can break down any urine test and find out which opiate was used such as heroin vs prescription pills.

So 2 weeks should xanax be out of my system i use occasionally maybe two 2 Mgs day when i do maybe a week out of the month should i be okay i have a script for clonazapam but i know it shows up diff than xanax even dough its a benzo is that true?
