How Long Does Tramadol Stay In Your System (Page 13)

I took 100 mg of Tramadol last Thursday and have to have a urine test at my pain doc next Thursday (2 weeks between dosage and test). I was wondering if anyone has been tested positive after that long?

Some employers such as mine ban the use of tramadol and any narcotic. They test for it and if you are positive you are fired immediately.

I was prescribed tramadol for two years, due to an injury, two tabs every 6 hours. Doc could call it in. Would get a month supply at a time. The they moved it to the class 4 narc. I was no longer needing them so often....
Due to employment change, I had to cease using tramadol completely due to random test. I just put up with the pain...
As far as addictive, I don't believe it is if you really need it. I have not used any for 9 months.... There have been times I needed more then over the counter stuff...

Tramadol had been classified as a narc as of Nov 2014 or 2013. I know because the pharmacy told me they have changed the classification of it and I had to show my ID to recieve my script at that time.

My husband took two tramamadol s on Monday night had has to see his pain management doctor tomorrow, he is a dialysis patient and can't pee. How will they drug test him? Will the new be out of his system or will they still detect it?

Pain doctors are now testing for ultram aka tramadol. It is considered a low class narcotic.

Actually Tramadol IS considered a narcotic even though I'd is a non narcotic drug. I tested positive for it and lost my narcotics! They DO test for it and I have the test results to prove it! So all of you people saying they don't test for it areally wrong. If you listen to them then you WILL lose your narcotics! Please stop saying that they don't test for it when they do. I am someone who has learned the hard way. So unless you have gone through it yourself, stop giving false information. Tramadol attaches to the opiate receptors just like opiates. You may not feel the same effects as a narcotic, but it does do the same then as a narcotic. 3 or more years ago it was put on the narcotics list by the FDA. So of you don't want to lose your narcotics, please don't take tramadol up to 3-4 days before your appointment!

So he had 3 days to clean out his system right? Did he drink lots of water , take a laxative and sweat it out of his system ? I hope everything worked put fine!! Can you please share results? Thank you !

I have deeply researched tramadol and it is not an opiod narcotic. It is an analgesic that is in a class of its own. That being said, in recent years it has been upgraded to a controlled substance and doctors are very reluctant to prescribe it in conjunction with an opiod or other narcotic. I am one of the few people who is prescribed both but my pain management doctor does not like giving it to be because of the potential drug interaction. However, it contains properties of an SNRI which help me with depression as well as pain so I have convinced my doctor to allow me to continue taking it. If you are being drug tested by a pain management doctor, make no mistake - it WILL be included in the test. But for those asking, it should be out of your system in 48 hours unless you have been taking it long term. If so, it could show up 4 to 5 days after discontinuation.

Okay I drive and regulated by the DOT, was on vacation for a week took 200 mg for 6 days, stopped late Saturday, had a random drug test Thursday , after returing nothing was said , did the test for Tramodol? Don't know

Took tramadol 300 mg ER on Sat @ 6 pm drug tested Thurs @ 4 pm enough time to be out of my system with urine drug screen @ pain management doc office. anyone please help .???5 days passed. 120 hrs.thanks red.

yes indeed it is i just got tested on my 4th day and it showed up now wondering if it will after 8 days? good question it is a narc and it will show up .. i do get drug tested and he uses the good screens for my insurance money and yes it does show up as a narc... sorry guys but i do know from experience my hubby had it and i took it by accident and bam but he had me on lots of meds and he understood

To all of you out there, please dont take tramadol unless your pain doc gives it to you you or a valid prescriber!!! I had a urine drug test day 5 and tested dirty for tramadol at my pain management office. I have been warned!! The metabolites of the drug still showed up in my urine. Heck with 48 hers, this pain management office tested for the metabolites of tramadol!!! One more time and I will lose my doctor , it is not worth it . I should have been 8 days clean!!!

I ask that question 2 years ago you'll get many answers, this is my experience : since it was reclassified I used to take it everything but I have a job where I get drug tested so I stop taking it but I do take it on the weekends when I'm off I was on vacation in August and I took it everyday 200 milligrams for about 5 days in a row and when I went back to work I got drug tested around them and there was either they didn't test for it or didn't show up but stop taking it 5 days prior
