How Long Does Prednisone Stay In Your System?

I have been tested for lupus an ANA test came back positive. In the mean time I hurt my back, they gave me methylprednisone. They want to retest for the lupus but I don't want to take the blood test with prednisone in my system.

Is there some reason you're concerned about the Prednisone affecting the test?

Some drugs may do so, but if they know you are taking it, then should know the proper way to do the tests and interpret them accordingly.

Prednisone actually has a very short half-life, it only ranges from 1 to 3 hours and the full time for most medications is usually 5 to 6 half-lives, so you're looking at anywhere from 5 to 18 hours.
