Yes it is an opiate. It is a partial agonist. It activates some of the functions that normal opiates do but not all of them. It does have Naltexone in it so that you can't inject it but it acts very close to an opioid. In fact many doctors use plain buprenorphine for pain medication. It's better known as Stadol. Yes it is and it will show up on an opiate test if it is part of the panel which it sounds like it is for this gentleman. Now as far as this gentleman goes my general advice would be don't take the damn thing if you're going to have to drop for probation. You're gonna get caught. Get help stop using this stuff get clean get your life in order. Sorry, but that's the way the system works boys and girls. I know I have been there. Quit trying to beat the sysytem because you will lose EVERY time.

Sorry to tell u but suboxone does show up on a urine drug screen. Especially if u see a pain management Dr that drug test u & test ur levels. Trust me I know cuz my Dr test me every month & know exactly whats in my urine & how much so better check again ur information on suboxone

i am prescribed suboxone,i have to see m sub dr monday it is saturday i took a few extra here and there,it has to be in my systemi had a half of 8 left,just took it,will my level be high enough on monday?

Bull s*** it shows up on tests. I know this for a fact cause i pissed dirty for it. it wont show up on the small tests for a job but it will show up on a pain clinic test. Also if your on parole for drugs.

Dam71laughed so hard I almost wet myself Dr phil....I go to Cleveland clinic and they tested urine an it showed up after 15 days....my son has to drop at his probation and I hear him talking to his friends an there is a test that has all the drugs on it because it's being abused an that makes it bad for us that really need it....I had cancer and in MI because of these kids taking there parents meds an buying them on the streets ...they took the pain meds away from us people that need them... Dea law... in MI if you aren't dieing you can't have pain meds....only narcos an they don't do s*** for pain ...i have to take Bayer back an body....lol....but it works...but when they took my pain pills away from me they put me on subs the strip an when my Dr in Ohio tested my urine for blood in it... he said hey do u take subs....so 15 days it was still in my urine

there is a specific drug test for suboxone I've personally had one from a probation officer

you are obviously confused it absolutely does show on a drug screen. Urine, saliva and blood. it is absolutely traceable.

If i took 4mg of a suboxone strip yesterday, and i drink a sh*t load of water...will it show up positive 2 days later? Just want to know if drinking a lot of water helps the passing of drug tests.. yes or no?

First suboxone is not a blockee, the naloxone Is the blocker, buprenorphine is opiate n does show up! Only screen it doesn't show are the self ones you buy at the store!! Not cool giving false info

Suboxone does and WILL stay in your system a LONG time!! BEWARE!! I took 1 half of a suboxone strip - so 4mg - 1 time!!! and I was still testing positive for bupe 8 days later!!! Suboxone has an extremely long half life, even in just one time use!!! I'll be testing myself again tomorrow - which will be 10 days since I took it - I'll try to get back here to let you guys know. The suboxone manufacturer, which yes I contacted them, says it takes about 11 days for you to test negative on a drug screen. This has caused me so much grief, so please.. trust me - suboxone isn't something to mess around with if you have to prove that you are clean.

Question: Do you think the meth in my system will speed up the processing and elimination of the suboxone in my system?? It obviously speeds up our metabolism so doesn't it stand to reason that we would then expel the subs at an amped up rate?? I think so! Especially with a good amount of water, which I now need for dehydration anyway! Haha. Oh the messes I get in to.

Buprenorphine DOES show up in a drug test depending on what kind of test. i took a 12 panel yesterday for probation and tested POSITIVE and now tomorrow i have to turn myself in to do time in jail for VIOLATING. Ive been a drug user for many years and know believe me lol

There are tests for suboxone,most companies don't test for it unless they suspect you are using it.I just took a physical for employment and never mentioned that I was on suboxone,I passed the physical but the doctor went online and seen I was seeing a suboxone doctor,he said I had to get a letter stating that I am off suboxone from my doctor along with my records.

That is incorrect. Buprenorphine is certainly an opioid analgesic. While Suboxone does contain an opiod antagonist (or blocker), the buprenorphine is, by its very classification, an opiate. Please research these matters before making a BS post.

I took one 8mg strip over the weekend and finished it off Monday morning. I have to go take a UA 10 panel for CRO next Tuesday or Wednesday. Will it be out of my system in 8-9 days for sure??
