Can Methadone Stay In Your System After Thirty One Days?

I took 30 oral Methadone 31 days ago. I have a UA in 2 days. Should it be cleared? Thank You.

The half-life of Methadone varies greatly. Wikipedia notes that it is anywhere between 24-36 hours, while more credible sources estimate that it can range from 15-55 hours.

Keep in mind though that the length of time following drug use for which a positive result may occur is dependent upon several factors including the frequency and amount of usage, metabolic rate, excretion rate, drug half-life, and the drug user’s age, weight, activity, and diet.

Having said that, it truly depends on the rest of your lifestyle as well; but if I were to go based on the half-life alone, I would think that you should be fine given that it will have been over a month since you took it.

I have been on methadone for a few years now cutting down gradually now down to 15 mil. When I went for my monthly prescription at doctors I done a urine sample. I had took my medication 27 hours before and just had a phone call saying there was no methadone in my sample which I do not understand. Since this I have been put on daily supervised as they don,t think I have been taking it. I am very confused as my medicine is stored in a locked cupboard which my wife keeps keys for and gives me it every morning. Can anyone please clarify this for me feel I have been kicked in the teeth while doin so well. My sample was totally clear of prescribed and illicit drugs as I am rebuilding my life thanks.
