How Long Does Methadone Show Up In A Oral Swab Drug Test (Page 3)

I will be going for a job interview at some point next week, more than likely it will be early in the week ( in about 3 days) today i took 4 10mg methadone pills. It will be a saliva test that i have to take, how long will the drug be detectable in a saliva test?

I have been perscribed 10 mg of methadone for 3 years. Recently I started taking only 5 mg a day. I took 15 mg and did a swab test for pain mgmt came up negative. How can that be? I want to stop live with the pain how will the withdrawls be? Approx how long?

R u prescribed it?? Cus then u get a letter to give to the lab and they can't show ur employer results cus confidentiality... But if ur not? STOP taking it an go buy a home drug test just to be safe. If not bring in someone else's urine, if its a real good important job..

Well let me say this first and foremost. WTH is everyone taking these things for if you have a drug test to complete? Seems kinda backasswards to me. Yes if you took methadone within a week of test you are gonna be positive. #2 they have to specifically test for methadone Bc it is not a opiate #3 if you have a script ur fine. To those that are hiding it, STOP! Own it ur getting better

That is completely false. In fact, a standard 10 panel drug test, like many employers use, specifically tests for Methadone. I'm not sure what being a nurse has to do with it. I have been prescribed methadone for over a year now, and I just got a drug test for a new job. A few minutes ago the testing company called to let me know there was methadone present. I told them I go to a clinic and am legally prescribed it, so I just have to have my clinic fax the testing company something on clinic letterhead stating that I am a legitimate patient there within 3 days. No problems. They said as long as they get that letter they will report a regular negative result to my potential employer. I really appreciate that too, as I would prefer they didn't know I was in treatment. You know? A drug being synthetic has NOTHING TO DO with whether or not it shows up on a drug screen. Please don't spread answers as a nurse if you don't know what the hell you're talking about. You gonna wind up costing people their jobs!

I took a single 10mg tab of methadone two days ago. Prior to that I have not taken any other drug in years. I am naturally thin(hardly any body fat), am very active(daily workouts involving lots of sweat) and am religious about hydration. I eat healthy. I suspect I will be given an oral swab any day. If I increase my activity level as well as water consumption what would be a safe guess on how long it could be detected. I know there is no exact science on this topic but could I test clean within another 2 days? I mistakenly trusted a "friend" who told me I was taking an OTC tablet for a headache and am very disappointed that this mistake might cost me severely with my probation officer, not to mention my sobriety date. Please, any advice is welcomed
