I'm Jenny. I wear a fentanyl patch (50mcg), and am prescribed klonopin (1 mg 3xday) and oxycondone (15mg 3xday). I'm scared because I had major panic attacks this month and I haven't the klonopin I should to test positive. does anyone knoe if it stays in the system, and for how long?

To each his own. Methadone saved my life. Ever since my car accident in 2002 where I broke 53 bones, crushed and partially severed my left foot, broke my left femur in 14 places and many other leg and arm fractures, I was in the hospital in I.V morphine for 2 months. 10 months of healing and HELL, pain, physical therapy, I finally walked again. I was 19 and knew NOTHING of "pain managment" and my Dr's told me to have a nice life and didn't refill my oxy script. No detox, no pain meds, no knowledge, I turned to the street where I found heroin. It was HELL. I got clean for 5 years and tried every non-narcotic, natural, holistic thing under the sun. I tried suboxone 4 times ( I'm allergic to it). I googled methadone clinics and drove 100 miles with nothing but hope. 2 years later I've had very few relapses. I left the sober house after a year and rent a room with my boyfriend. I don't "Love" methadone, but I do LOVE not waking up in the morning sick, or in pain, or broke, or in jail. It's situational. Everyone's story is unique and everyone's recovery will be different.

Pat: I also go to the clinic, almost 4yrs..I take 3-4mgs per day of klonapin, every day..I've been pee tested and it's never shown up..the others, I'm sorry to say I don't know..the klonapins are the only thing that works for me..Thank You for Your Bravery on the Battlefield..You Are A HERO and I hope things get better..

I have been a drug addict for about 15 years. In January 2012, i laid EVERYTHING down for a better life for me and my son I am lucky to still have, It was HARD HARD HARD but worth everybit of pain. Two years later we are happy but it doesn't happen over night but it can happen when you care more for someone than your ownself. I did most every drug out there but i never tried methadone, the methadone i know nothing about. I have a fantastic counselor that i still talk to every week and a good hearted judge that gave me a chance. Help is available. Use it.
