I took only one 7.5 lortab and was drug tested. Will it show up in my urine? If so, for how long?

Amen to that!!! I do sympathize with anyone who suffers with chronic pain! But, you have to go through hades and back now, just to get pain any substantial pain relief, due to the illegal users, ect...

I see a pain management Dr. I too was taking too many Lortab 10s because of the extent of pain. I ran out 7 days before my monthly appointment. It did not show up in my urine. That's serious because if its not present in your system they think you might be selling it. I was honest with him about what happened and I didn't get in trouble. Instead he increased my monthly script from 90 to 150. Just be honest. They understand chronic pain is real.

You are so right I have a pain pump and getting pain meds to take by mouth is getting crazy. So I feel the same way those of you who take these meds for recreation you don't understand the ones who realy need these are suffering becouse we can't get them and if we do we are watched like a hawk..

Lortab and vicodin are 100 percent the same thing, theyre brand names for hydrocodone. Norco is also the same, i hope this helps!!!

Vicodin and Lortab the same thing they're both hydrocodone 1 is generic the other one a brand name all doctors are switching to Lord tabs because it's cheaper but it's all Hydro codeine I hope that answers your question

Let's be clear about taking 1/2 of a Lortab any mg (or in fact any compound medication, i.e any med made of of 2 or more drugs). NEVER tell your Dr you do so or he/she may discontinue giving you that med. Here's why... when the drug is made & they mix the chemicals they do so in bulk & then press the individual pills from that mixture. They assume each pill contains the proper amount of each chemical but can't guarantee they're mixed evenly throughout the pill. Once broken in half, one half may contain more of one of the chemicals than the other half. Dr's know this and are very skittish about continuing to give such meds to patients that break them up. If you need a smaller dose Dr's prefer to issue smaller dosage pills. I know this from making this mistake myself.

Generally pain clinics don't test amount unless it is an unprescribed medicine, generally your first test will be to see if you have meds in your system that they have given you. Take your medicine the day before and a morning dose the day of you need more medicine tell them.

You are so right I'm sick of people abusing these meds making it harder on the people who are in real pain & need them, all the crap we have to go through because of yours, why don't you just take your meds the way prescribed & you won't have to worry about these test you have to have done, I have a friend who pisses me off because he abuses his meds, I have to hold them for him so he don't abuse them & I'm sick of being his keeper & can't wait until he is off them, I'm not his mommy !! & also sick of helping him with mine which leaves me with less, I am done, why should I have to suffer because of him !!! done ! done ! done ! Stop putting us through all this red tape, if you don't need them for pain & just a high go somewhere else & do your business & leave us be..wake the hell up DEA your handling this a.. backwards !!!

They can't tell how much you took just that you took it. As long as you take some the day before you will be ok.

Addicts? It's not like we plan on being that way. I was addicted to Tramadol, which by law is a non-narcotic pain medicine. It destroyed my life, along with everyone around me. It was a struggle everyday bc I did not want to take them but my body and mind told me I needed them. It was hell every second. I completely understand that our behaviors have made it harder for others but think about this, doctors are here to look out for us, if these meds were so easy to get, there would be more addicts and overdoses. You should have more empathy since you lived and lived an addict. It's not something we are proud of so be careful how you throw that label around.

First when you go to test at the doctor, they do not test your levels (how much is in your system). They are simply just checking to see if it's present in your urine. He would have to send it off to a lab to have it tested for levels. I highly doubt he would do that bc he is just checking to may sure the drug is present. Most doctors won't have you arrested anyway, they would simply place a note in your file and not ever prescribe you opiates again.
