How Long Does Ativan Stay In Your Urine (Page 4)

I took 10 mg of Ativan on Saturday night and have a urine drug test today, Tuesday at 5:30. Will it be out by then?

i have failed the urine test wheni went to get my drink because i took 14mg before i got screened. so i went to detox 3 days later and when i did the test there was no benzos in my system, detox released me to a methadone clinic that same night .. so one time use of 14mgs on a thursday, and monday morning it was not in my system

Count yourself lucky! I know the different amount of times that certain benzos take to get out of one's system, although there are many variables obviously. I am a Surgical Nurse and thought that I would have zero problem passing a UA on a Tuesday, after taking 1-2 mgs of Ativan the previous Thursday (I believe that was...it has been a long time since I posted that story below). Well...not a chance! For WHATEVER reason, they caught it and it showed positive in my UA, which was fine bc I told them I had been given some from ER, but it aggravated me so! I had never taken any benzo in my life ever, and still somehow, Ativan (which is low on the totem pole of benzos of course) showed up. Never thought it would show, but it did, so I learned a valuable lesson that day- never say never!

Dude calm down. Ativan clears ur sy stem very quick. Most of the ppl saying it takes weeks are ignorant, and fueled by scares from the police/dea. They lie to scare and discourage use. I take ativan monday- thursday, and have tests on Monday mornings. I've taken it Friday night and been clean by monday. It's out within 1-3 days depending on the person. Btw ativan is not dose-dependent. So higher doses clear in the exact same time as low doses. It doesn't accumulate. Unlike marijuana/valium.

Hi Lulu-

I absolutely agree, it is nice to hear from someone who knows what they speak of. But, this is the internet, and you have no idea who is at the other end writing a reply to a question. Therefore, most of us are here to ask a question or give an answer to someone and share their experiences as to what happened to them, and that is the reason I am here- to share what happened to ME. I really dont think (for the most part) that people come here to "lie" to scare others, especially due to the DEA (or whatever else was written), because after all... well, nevermind, that's not important and it takes away from the subject.
Anyway, from my experience that I posted below (you'll have to scroll to see all entries)...as you will see it is NOT always that cut and dry. I am a Breast Cancer Survivor and I am a Surgical Scrub Nurse by trade, therefore I will not "lie to scare people" (and I am not saying that the poster below that said that is speaking of me, I'm just saying that because I will NOT make up a story), I came here to tell MY story and what happened with ME, so maybe it can help someone else. On a Thursday night I took Ativan ONE time, and a VERY small amt (2mgs at the most), thinking that there was no way that it would be found on a test on the following Tuesday (and that test was given very early that morning, and sent off to a lab) For whatever reason it did...and I gave a urine test, not blood, not a swab, a U/A. This happened in north Alabama, in the fall/or late Summer months of 2014...and after researching this online back then (to see if it would show up when I took that test) I never thought it would show; FOR WHATEVER REASON IT DID. It was neither here nor there, because it didn't mean anything in terms of "I'd be in trouble for taking it, etc.," it was just something that I casually wanted to know, and thought nothing else about...until it actually showed. Since then, I've learned to never say never- ever.

I beg to differ, adivan was still in my system 30 days after and I took a very low dose as well for my anxiety. I'm in no trouble with the law or probation, but it still showed as adivan, not xanax, Valium, or anything. It specifically showed as ativan. You can drink lots of h2o to dilute it, but you'll have to do that for up to 60 days to be safe. I know 1st hand and as I said, I took a very low dose, like 2mg ONE TIME. GOOD LUCK.

I just took a UScreen cup test for probation. The cut off for Benzodiazepines are 300 ng. Three weeks ago I took 90 2mg of Lorazepam throughout the course of one week. And on Saturday (today is Thursday) I took a .25 xanax. Everything was negative. Just know your drug test, and your drug. No lines appeared so it was completely gone. There are some benzos that can stay in your body for weeks, like Valium, but apparently Ativan and Xanax are nothing to be worried about if you've got time and you can stay sober.

THANK YOU FOR posting YOUR experience... bc that is what happened to me. Took Ativan ONE time, approximately no more than 2 mgs, and 5 days later it showed up on a U/A sent off to LabCorp. That is THE VERY FIRST TIME I have ever taken ANY benzo (other than once in the hospital) and boom- there it was on the report in black and white...it showed. So like I've said in another post below, I will never say never again- EVER. lol!

I was taking 2-4mg of ativan daily for 2 weeks, then once I stopped it was out of my urine 4 days later.

Please someone help me, I take hydroxyzine for anxiety and I ran out so I took a Ativan from a friend one day and the next day a half of a Xanax bar. That was all I have taken in a years time. I have a urine test by my doctor in 6 to 7 weeks will it be out of my system by then?

Minnilonium (sorry if misspelled) I am also in a methadone clinic and have been taking ativan (lorrazapam) for the past year, I go once a week to the clinic and usually will not take any the day before I go up in case of test and I've been fine. So example, I take them daily up until Wed. I don't take any at all on Wed. and if I have a urine test Thursday I've been clean. Now this is the first time that I've taken them on a Wed. I took 1.5 mg at about 6am or so and low and behold I had a test today, which I took about 5:40am and I'm worried, that would be a bit shy of 24 hours. so what do you think? looks like you have said it was fine for you when you have taken them before 5pm and had a test done the next morning. I have had a lot of overwhelming life events happening and anxiety is through the roof, so i had to take my meds. Let me know what you all think, if I do NOT pass, I will post on here but otherwise, lets pray I pass. I don't wanna have to drive 30minutes away for 30 days :)

Ok I took one 1 mg Ativan around 2 am and then had to urine test for the clinic at 6:30. Will it show since I only took one, and if so how long does it take your body to process it and it show in my urine?? Also took valium over a week ago, will that still show too?

7~12 hours is the half life of the drug. It is still in your urine for up to 7 days

You sure it was an Ativan? This is the first situation I've ever heard of. False positive? I get tested weekly and clonazepam doesn't show up at all and I take it daily. Ativan I usually take 10 mg before a dentist and have had a test the next morning and nothing showed
