Omg I didn't realize this... suboxone done the exact same thing to me! Something about artificial sweeteners makes my stomach hurt so bad. It causes muscle spasms and makes me super nauseous.. I had no idea why suboxone was doing the exact same thing, so now this makes way too much sense!

LOOK. IM NOT WANTING SUBOXONE ANY MORE. however. I DO WANT SUBUTEX !!! the doctors say "" that its all the same... well maybe... they think that if the blocker is no longer a factor.. then the patient will pop other pills.THATS STUPID!!! THEY TEST US SO MANY DIFFERENT FREAKIN WAYS. why would we . anyway. subutex doesnt make my head hurt.. or cause me any anxiety.

wrong. Nalaxone has nothing to do with the blocking effect. All the Nalaxone does is prevent it from IV usage. Nalaxone injected IV will cause withdrawal only if other opiates are present, otherwise nothing happens.

The blocking effect comes from buprenorphines high affinity for the receptors. When introduced to the brain it rapidly displaces any other opiates causing precipitated withdrawal from the rapid removal.

Just thought I'd she'd some light on the subject.

Why the hell would you say you think those who IV their dosage are the lowest of all. You do realize that your an addict too and 90% of the world looks at you like your the lowest scum on earth? Just because someone administers their drugs intravenously doesn't make them better or worst than the guy who insufflates it, still an addict in the end. Addiction is a disease. No one knows where it will lead you. I don't look down on them. We're all brothers of addiction in this together.

I had your symptoms after i took sub for about 6 mos. I had gall bladder disease and yes, i do believe sub caused it. Full of gall stones also...stuck in my bike duct. It has also caused severe weight gain. Fast forward 10 yrs later....still on sub, stuck at 2 mgs a day. Cannot lower. Tried wholeheartedly, several times.

Wow, you sound just like me. Can I ask how long u have been seeing your doctor? The reason I ask is I believe there is a hudge turn around in this field of medicine (nothing personal I beleive it's the nature of the business), I have been on Subutex for about 3 years now, but was started with Suboxone (it also made me ill) once I got to know my doc and he knew I was serious about my decision he had no problem prescribing Subutex. I just sat down and talked with him, and he had it documented how sick Suboxone was making me. YOUR NO ALONE ....... just sit down and voice how you are feeling. HOPE IT HELPS : )

I'm in need of a Subutex private Doctor as suboxone gives me migraines I need help in Lynchburg Virginia

That is so very untrue. The naloxone blocks opiates. Subutex(buprenorphine) does not contain the naloxone and that's the difference between suboxone and subutex. I've been on TeX 5+ years and i know plentybof people that have shot suboxone. Not that i recommend that but just wanted to help get your facts straight.

Addiction IS NOT A DISEASE. It is classified legally as such to facilitate treatment (and rightly so) for physical and psychological dependence on a substance or behaviour. We Americans have a need to feel special - the disease model is adopted by the addict community as an excuse for our behaviour. It has an irrational foundation in religion which somehow has addiction as a spiritual malady.

Kenneth,
Even if you could find a qualified licensed professional to accept you as a new patient THEY DO NOT ACCEPT Medicare/Medicaid as payment. Neither will they prescribe subutex. By far the most problematic issue in your area is finding a pharmacy to actually fill a legit rx for Any Bupe product even if you were able to get one rx'd to you. It's unfortunate but a dilema many are faced with on a daily basis in your neck of the woods.Best of luck to you....

Tricky,
Says the narsacistic self entitled idelog answering a question that wasn't even asked. What perverse need compels you to frequent drug use forums, if you posses such vitriolic bias opinions Why are you here? It's abundantly clear that you subscribe to some fanatical religious teachings sect that casts aspersions upon the weak and disenfranchised .Why don't you and your followers stand in line and drink the kool aide.

Amen, why can't we just go on taking it for the rest of our lives as long as we are passing U/A's and doing the right thing in life. I'm so scared cause I'm down to 2mg-.05 per day that's really just a strip a day but when I think of getting off of them completely I get so scared and I start thinking how am I going to live normal as I have for the last 2 yrs. no I don't wanna get off them. I am doing the right thing. yes I have screwed up, if I have takin like 1 & 1/2 instead of just 1 strip I went up like I take In morning but by night I just needed a half of a strip. I don't like it if I have ran out a day before my visit or the most it was, was 3 days. Wow, from where I've came from hundreds of thousandths of dollars worth of pills and lots of opiates, I think I'm doing pretty good. I feel normal again like I did back when I was 21 yrs old & never ever knew what an opiate was. That's an amazing feeling. And I don't have a good track record with my husband of almost 20 years, but I haven't had to ever go back to how I used to live just to not be dope sick. So I really think first of all we need more doctors that specialize in opiate addiction. I got my first pain pills from the drs and they never said after we have you on them for 3-6 months that you very well can & probably will get sick. So crap we have these blockers out there, we aren't hurting anyone. In fact we probably are better members of society, please can't we just keep taking our dose. This is ridiculous to think oh my gosh my dr is going to take me off & that's how history repeats itself over, over, & over again. Yes it doesn't have to but more likely then not it will. I've always said oh no this last time no more but that no more is remembering how you just felt normal on opiates. I thought this is how the whole world felt and that was normal in my mind cause I couldn't understand how people ever went thru life feeling normal. Being normal not having to take a pill to make your whole body soul & brain to feel normal. Some folks can take a pain pill and hate it, it makes them get sick, but I wasn't lucky enough to get sick. I felt normal just like a normal person. And my parents never even drank let alone took a drug so why did I get that addiction personally in me and not any of my 3 siblings! Well crap I guess it was just a raw deal I got and some crap happened and me being normal was never ever again. I don't know why I'm like writing you a book and I'm sorry but just let us have it until we don't want it anymore. If we are doing what the program says and we are doing what we are suppose to be doing, then why take it away. Why take that risk? I don't want to take that chance cause this is my life and I probably don't have too many lives in me left. Thank you. I hope someone will just take a little piece of what I have said and get something out of it. Thanks again.

Does anyone in west Texas know of a Dr who will switch you from suboxone to subutex? I had the subutex in rehab 6 day in detox then 21 days afraid detox. And I won't lie the first few days of not having it I didn't feel like I was a queen and I sure would of loved to have i roe even a half of one but I made it thru the last like 9 days & came home & relapsed a couple days later. So I find this dr only one around within a 50 mile radius and he calls me once a month. I call the day before my app and I pay my $75.00 cause he does not take insurance at all for this program. I do have private insurance thru husband & I also have it now from my job. So if you don't pay your fee he (I could be wrong but I'm not) doesn't call you. You talk for a few mins talks bout what you've done all month and says ok check with your pharmacy before the close of day and I get enough to last all month as long as I do it correctly sometime I don't and I really regret and it's been a few months like probably 3-5 months I have run out faster then I should. But I went from the what 8mg and now I only get one strip of the 2mgs and it has been I'm going to say a year and one month I've been on it. Before I got my insurance thru my company I had husbands blue shields blue cross. They first had to approve me and they did it was 20$ the very 5 months cause it was in the pill form then the 6 month the pharmacy gives me strips & that time it went up to co pay $40 and ever 6 months I had to go do a U/A ramdomy & then they approve it for another 6 months I think, well then I go like in my 7th month now they say co pay went up again cause it's not in the list of drugs they allow for it's not on the insurance, it wasn't in their approved drug list. So then it had to go to 60$ co pay. But then husband Insurance running me around and pharmacist asked if I had new insurance and I'm like yes mine. So now it went down back down to 40$ and they haven't gotten ahold of me saying I needed to do all this stuff. So anywho I think it should be a lifetime supply. Thank you all
