i get sick everytime i take my dose of suboxone. I throw up everytime. but my doctor will not switch me to the subutex even though it is in my charts that i have yaken the subutex and never got nausiated. what do i need to say or do to get my doctor to understand and switch me? i also have severe intestinal problems that get aggravated with the suboxone, what can i do. i do not want to quit treatment but i cant keep throwing up everyday all day. please someone help me.

It is a shame that a qualified physician can prescribe what he feels best for his patient yet the insurance people, who are not medical doctors seem to have the final say. It is an old argument but a valid one. Some folks like myself simply cannot take Suboxone!!! I have been on Subutex five years - it clearly works and the quality of my life post cancer and chemo is 100% better due to but try telling the insurance people this. They absolutely do not believe me and therefore will not pay for my medicine. It is really disgusting.

Hello Daniel I'm in the Knoxville area and I would like to have someone to talk to about what we're going through. If you are interested in another person in your support group, then please feel free to respond back to this. Thank you. I guess I'll go ahead and share my story with everyone as well. I have been on Subutex for over a year up until recently when this "new" law changed that stated I could not be put on Subutex unless I got a physician to say I was allergic to the naloxone in Suboxone and went into anaphylect shock. Well when my doctor said this new law made him had to switch me to suboxone I just could not afford $13 a piece at my pharmacy versus $5 for the subutex. So I ended up not being able to pay for it and now I've not been going to my doctor for financial reasons for about a month and a half now. This has been the worst month and a half of my life. The withdrawals have been terrible, and I just can not afford to keep myself not sick. I don't know if anyone had heard of this new law that my doctor told me, but it's absolutely ridiculous. I've never failed a drug screen for opiates or been a bad patient. I've always taken my meds correctly but now this happened. If anyone has any information on how to get subutex from a doctor or have heard of this law, please share it with me. Thank you very much. I hope everyone has a blessed day and I look forward to someone's help.

What's your number (Knoxville writer). You could try to get prescribed generic Suboxone pills and they are much cheaper. I may be able to help you

Bupe itself will not allow opiates to attach to your receptors. Naloxone is only active in your body for a very short period. I have been on TeX for 3 years and in the beginning I tried every way I could to feel high on it. I had to wait at least 12 hours to feel anything. If I took say a mg of TeX it would be a shorter period. People that say they take TeX for that reason are full of s***. If you research it you will see what I am saying is stone cold fact not opinion. I used to watch people take sub or TeX and still be a dumpster for everything else and just smile. That's just a dumb move. Like wiping your ass with 100 dollar bills.

The law change the end of July in the state of Tn. I have heard of people driving to NC just to be able to stay on what works. I'm trying to figure it all out since I'm having the same problems you are.

I am sorry to say but that is completely untrue that people can not inj. suboxone. Because ever since the suboxone companies switched from pill form to film form more addicts went back to inj'ing due to it being much easier and faster to turn the film into a liquid. You can just hold a film in between your fingers and you can feel it starting to melt away when it starts to get warm which allows addicts who inj. a much easier way to inj. a suboxone film rather than a pill form. Pharmaceutical companies made the biggest mistake by making suboxone a film form. They made themselves sound like i****s by saying that the reason for switching the tablets to films was for the better because the tablets were being abused too easily, and it would not be like that if patients were prescribed to the film form. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. The film form is 20x easier for an addict to turn it into an inj. liquid so all they did was extremely help the patients who inj. suboxone. People who inj. a medication in an abusive manner are way more addicted to inj'ing a needle into their body than they are to just the drug. An addict on suboxone tablets or films can do awesome on suboxone and not even want to ever do another opiate again but the way they administer the opiates they were addicted to is going to be the way they take their suboxone until they can figure out a way to overcome the addiction of putting a pill up their nose or putting a needle in their body. The way people administer drugs is one of the biggest addictions they actually have.

I've had one of the most serious "migraine-variant" HAs in history. This wouldn't work for me. I know to much about what a REAL migraine feels like, what the prodromes are, the usual course of any of a dozen different types of migraines and their resolutions. Any doc who believe an admitted opiate addict with a story like this is practically sloppy medicine, Besides, pharmacologically — assuming your phony excuse had some truth in it — the odds would be the migraine is primarily caused by the opiate and that same opiate is in the drug you're scamming for. How about you try telling your doc the truth for a change?

suboxone can be shot I've seen ppl do it which is crazy.im going to a different doctor here soon and see if I can be switched to subutex. My dentist told me the suboxone ruined my teeth because it stays in your teeth and gums for a long time. also this yr I am trying to have a baby and I already had a miscarriage and I think it had to do with the suboxen.so I want to be prepared and if that wasn't enough I have 2 surgerys coming up and I don't know how they deal with that.
