Heroin 4-5 Hrs After Suboxone?? (Page 6)

Any1 know if it's okay to take heroin say 4-5 hrs AFTER having taken my first dose - 6 decidedly inadequate mgs - of suboxone?

You're fine to take H 4-5hrs after Suboxone, but honestly its a waste even if you only did 2mg of sub so I would wait at least 12 hours or you will literally need 4x as much to feel high. I would just go to rehab and call it quits. However that must be your choice or it will fail. I was shooting 2k dollars worth of H a week and now I haven't had a single opiate for 50 days. The longest I've gone since I started 7 years ago with Oxycotin.

why would you be on suboxone if you still want to use the herion? that is pointless - i thought the reason to take subs was to get off of herion

Took 12mg of suboxone 10.5 hours after using heroin. Withdraw prior to sub was moderate. Did not go into PWD's after taking sub. Definitely felt the effects of the sub. No problems here.

Yeah you may not of felt nothing cuz some don't but some DO. Best not to give advice based on your one experience but to give the standard advice recommended by clinical trials, controlled over SEVEN YEARS. Which is to wait at least 48 hours between using narcotics and using suboxone. You could easily cause someone who doesn't know any better to die, become seriously physically or mentally ill or go through precipitated withdrawal which some of us know as hell.

As for me I've had experiences ranging from waiting less than 6 hours and using and having no side effects but no high- then have waited 2 days since an Opana use and using a quarter of a sub and ending up in a night of hell. Point being give FACTUAL ADVICE OR INFORMATION not YOUR PERSONAL, ONE TIME EXPERIENCE.

LOLi is a 160lb 5'11" male and after much internal debate relapsed after 4 consecutive weeks of 8mg suboxone every morning thats 28days of 8mg sub generic pill used sublingually every day. LOLi thought this would mean if he did any roxi it would be a waste. Well it was 14hours after LOLi's last 8mg suboxone and LOLi decides to take 3/4 of a 30mg 224 blue roxi and it got decent effects. Much to LOLi's surprise the feeling was at least 70% of normal imo and LOLi is still pretty good. So for those of you who wish to switch from subs to doc 12+hours is LOLi's reccomendation.

I get your issue. I am a gastric by-pass and extended release doesn't work for us and NSAIS are also out of the question. I know that you know your addicted to opiates its what happens to anyone that has that much pain meds. Most people hat aren't addicted can use tylonal for any pain. My mother in law had a 25 min seizure and ended up not hynicated a disc but actual fracture of a disc. other words broken back. she had to wear a turtle shell made out of had plastic for a braise while she healed. She only took tylonal occationally at night for the pain. So once you are addicted to opiates if you stubbed your toe and say my mother in law did too you would be in more pain than her. It sucks but that's how it works. So my suggestion to you, is no more opiates unless it is a near death situation because if say you ever do have a near death experience and you stay on opiates or subs you will not be able to get your pain under control at the hospital. I have been there, I was on subs and got into a car accident were they had to cut me out of my car with the jaws of life. I was in so much pain I lost consienceness. They couldn't give me anything because I was on subs. It totally sucks that because of medical surgeries we got addicted to opiates and we basically have to suffer now. I am working to get off subs and be good about not trying to get some off the street. I know that it is best for me and my family and by body to keep that poison out of my body. My husb has only gotten a script once for hynia surgery and he didn't even want to fill the script which made me happy cause I used it. So you know deep down in your stomach what you need to do, you don't need us addicts telling you what to do. hope that helps

The naloxone in suboxone is not what prevents effect from other opiates it is the buepronorphine. The naloxone was put in originally to prevent intro venous use of suboxone but has been rendered ineffective due to the high binding ability of the buepronorphine to mu receptors.

Iv taken suboxone 8mgs then hit a half gram or .4g and felt good, my wife is the same as are my friends who take subs. If I was to take .2 or less I wouldn't feel much but that could be my tolerance. In Britain the brown is less than 10 percent pure maybe 14 at most.
The naloxone in the sub is there to stop people injecting them as they did with subutex, it has no affects on the use of h afterwards.

F*** Florida is right, I grew up there for 26 years been addicted to roxys the dilaudid, opanna, oxycotton, I moved to Vegas to get away. Now I know you cannot run from your addiction. In Vegas the heroin is so good and cheap and potent this is the hardest detox I've ever gone through. I am on day 2 but I am giving up. I took the box in about 5 hours ago, we will see if it will be a waste. Good luck to all of you out there the same problem as me. This is a battle of a lifetime

So here's my predicament, I OD'd on Thursday, went to the hospital, got narcan'd (worst experience of my life) and didn't do any opiates until yesterday (Sunday) I did two shots of some pretty weak dope and didn't get too high but felt good. Today, I woke up and did a little wash out of the cap I used last night to mix the dope in, barely anything. My question is this, what will happen if I bang a 2mg white sub (with .5 of naloxone) now? Will I feel it? Or will I go into immediate withdrawals and feel like I did in the hospital?? I'm leaving for rehab in a little while an it's been about an hour and a half since I did the wash.

Lola is 1000% correct on ALL the info she gave you. Although, I do believe you are asking WHEN is it ok to take heroin AFTER taking suboxone. What Lola described was taking sub after taking any other kind of narcotic ( heroin is a narcotic). I am not judging you but why are you even taking the sub if you still want to use heroin? I don't know what happens in your case except that it takes a far greater amount of a narcotic to feel high when you are taking suboxone, naltrexone or any of the like. There in lies the danger of overdose. I am thinking that taking suboxone and then IV'ing heroin will cause precipitated Withdrawal but I'm not sure. I do not have experience with these drugs. Google exactly what you want to know....IE: how long after taking a dose of _____mg suboxone can you use heroin.....which I'm assuming that is what you want to do. But, be careful what websites you read and follow as there is a lot of misinformation out there. Look at actual medical websites such as those with knowledge of narcotic treatment. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help...I basically just wanted to tell you that Lola knows her stuff...listen to her.

Oh, sorry Lola. I didn't finish reading your post so I didn't see you answer the question. What I would be worried about in this situation is accidental overdose and possibly death due to that OD. I say this because I know for a fact that if someone is on naltrexone & the like, they can use more of their drug of choice to override the naltrexone. This HAS caused many deaths here in the US alone! If you ( I mean general you, not you personally) are not trained in this then you don't know how much of a certain drug it takes to override. That, in & of itself is the major danger.

The nalaxone in the bupe is not what causes percipitated wd... you can use heroin after sub, you just cant do it the other way around. Educate yourself from the right source.

@ Comment..... What are you saying is not true? The OP asked about suboxone and it is known that, if given enough of an opiate, you can override the effects of suboxone. That is why if you are on that med you must carry a card stating so incase of an emergency or you have to tell the doc if you are able to speak. And, being that that is the only way to override sub, you can OD very easily. Look it up. If you weren't talking to me, I apologize. When you make a statement such as yours, please address the person specifically so there is no confusion as to WHO is wrong. This is an info forum and we try to give the correct info. Thanks
