Having Some Withdrawal Symptoms.

Hello, thanks for having this site. So, I have a couple things going on which I am trying to get handled with my Doc. Along with the fact that I have not being taking my generic brand of Lexapro consistently. Really Dumb. I know. I was taking it, then forgetting. Now, I am getting a pins and needles feeling in my face and really in other areas too, achy flu like symptoms and being emotional and very anxious. Any of these symptoms sound familiar with withdrawal? My anxiety is so high that I am very paranoid it's M.S. or something. Sorry for sounding nuts. Thank you again for your input.

Hello, Amy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've been having.

In order to be having withdrawal symptoms, you'd need to have been taking it consistently for a long period of time, then suddenly stopped. If you've never been consistent about taking it, then your symptoms aren't likely from the Lexapro.

Its typical withdrawal effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, rebound depression, rebound anxiety, pain and diarrhea.

Are you on any other medications? Have you consulted your doctor?

Thank you so much for your response. I am bad at taking any meds. I go off them and on them. I made an apt to see my Doc about it. But just since taken it again the symptoms seem to have lessened. It's confusing and scary. I only started taking it again two days ago. Thanks again for your time and input. :)
