I have ten suboxones. I have been taking oxycontin for pain but want to try at home to w/d. I can't discuss this with my doctor as it will affect my insurance. This is a fact..in my case... Can someone on here tell me how to take my subs? I would appreciate any answers and no lectures. How many do I need to withdraw..Thanks so much.

TO START SUB AT HOME ON YOUR HOME. FIRST YOU WILL NEED TO PUT YOURSELF IN WITHDRAWLS. FOR ATLEAST 24 HOURS OR AS LONG AS YOU CAN STAND IT. THE DOCTOR MAKES YOU WAIT 3 DAYS. I DID ANYWAYS! THEN START OUT WITH A 2MG UNDER YOUR TONGUE. LET IT DISSOLVE. DO NOT TALK,DRINK,EAT OR SMOKE AT THIS TIME. ONCE IT STARTS TO DISSOLVE YOU SHOULD FEEL SOME EASE. IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH THEN TAKE ANOTHER 2 MG AFTER 2 HOURS, YOU CONTINUE TO INCREASE IN 2 MGS UNTIL YOU FEEL YOUR BODY IS TAKING TO IT. NORMALLY THIS COULD TAKE UP TO 4-6 HOURS. FOR THE PILLS AND STRIPS IF YOU TAKE MORE THAN 1 PUT ONE EACH UNDER YOUR TONGUE ON EACH SIDE BUT NO MORE THAN 2 AT A TIME. DO NOT OVER TAKE THIS MEDICATION EITHER. SUB STAYS IN YOUR SYSTEM FOR 24 HOURS. ALL THE SUB THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN ARE ORANGE AND NO OTHER COLOR, THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN TELL THEM APART BY THE PILL IS HOW BIG THEY GET BY THE INCREASE AND THE STRIP IS BY THE THICKNESS. I ONLY NOW ALL OF THIS BECAUSE I WENT TO THE DOCTOR MYSELF AND REQUESTED THIS MEDICATION BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO LIVE ON PAIN MEDICATION FOR THE REST OF MYLIFE. I WOULD RATHER TRY AND COPE WITH THE PAIN WITH OVER THE COUNTER PRODUCTS. ALSO ON SUB YOU HAVE TO BE REAL CAREFUL BECAUSE YOU CAN'T TAKE CERTAIN MEDICATIONS WITH IT. CONSULT WITH A DOCTOR IF YOU CAN THAT WOULD BE THE BEST. IF YOU TAKE TO MUCH OF THE SUB IT CAN HAVE BAD SIDE EFFECTS AND BE WORSE THAN COMING OFF PAIN MEDICATION.

So, I only need to take 1/4 of a pill and thats it I know you said it stays in your system for 3 days, but my question is about the dosage I'm confused about how many to take

I have been taking 80 mg of methadone everyday for about 2weeks I have a huge problem with opiates I do anything I can get my hands on when I can't get H , can I switch from methadones to suboxanne instantly or would I have to w/d from methadone first? The methadones have strong after life so would I have to wait longer than 24 hrs to take suboxane? If I can do the transaction?

Methadone stay's in your system well for working effects for 24 to 36 hours, so i would wait until i felt that i needed to take another Methadone and then start on the SUBS. I did do this 1 time and that's how i done it, i didn't have any w/d from either when i swapped but you need to start out on the 2mg for sub regardless of how much Methadones you are takeing when you take the first 2mg wait 30 minutes to an hour and see how you are feeling if you feel you need to take another one then take another 2mg. My doctor increased in 2mg sections also if you find yourself w/d later in the day after you take the subs then that usually means you dont have enough sub in your system and you will need to increase the dosage. After 2 weeks my doctor had to increase my dosage because i didn't have enough in my system. question do you have a doctor that can make the swap for you?

you will need to w/d atleast 2 to 3 days before taking any medication to help you.

Been doing norco pain pills since I was 14yrs old and now am 21 wow 7yrs and ranging from 30mgs to 160mgs over time and sometimes over the course of a day........yeah not proud to say that. started out getting my wisdom teeth pulled out and got the percs. Needless to say I enjoyed then then found out parents had them for pain. So wide eyed and and deep pockets I helped myself. That went on for 3 years of me stealing and yes I feel like an ASS!!!!!!! Infact it got so bad I had 60 pills at one point finished then in 32hrs and in that time I would throw up and ruin my buzz and keep on doing then cause I had way to much in my system that my body threw it self up 3 times and it killed my buzz but I kept chasing that high. But like every crappy son I got (got my ass handed to me) caught. Then went without pills for 5 days of hell so I got a job to support my habit all my money went to pills. And sometimes I just can't help my greedy, selfish self and kept stealing pills. oh and yes keep in mind I snort them. And also do pills for everything like work, basketball, sex etc you name it. In fact if there is a positive of norcos it numbs everything so much I became a better lover meaning I use to beable to go for 4 + HRS!!!!!! NOT KIDDING then no pills let's just say under 3 mins embarrassing :(( sorry sidetrackig but anyways I bought some suboxone today and did 1/4 of it under the tounge when I was going through my W/D'S and I wouldn't be able to do it without it. Yes I know its only been one day but you gotta stay positive and not get sour haha "don't get mad get glad" lol. And just keep telling your self this sh***y felling will pass. I'm getting a lot of support from people I've hurt so when its all said and done I gotta do something for each person and I don't mind cause that money ill spend on then could've gone to more pills aka norcos. Just wondering if I go to my doctor and tell him my story will he throw me out or will he help. How should I approach him. Well if anybody decides to read it I hope my story helps you. And in the end you'll do the right thing. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE IF I CAN STOP YOU CAN DO IT. I know that last line was really corney. :p

yes it will take the herion withdrawls away split them with your boyfriend, get sick and than take one 8mg each after that 2mg every 8hrs will keep the symptoms down to a minimum. Good luck!

It is in your medical records forever. I pay for medical insurence out of pocket, as my hubby is a small business owner. Taking 3 roxies a day and stated sub yesterday. Took 1/3 twice of 8/2mg strip yesterday and feel great.Took another third this morning and it's doing the trick. Able to buy a few strips. Very hopeful as I want my life back for my hubby and kid.

hey i really need help i have been recently on opana 40's about 3 a day i have been smoking them for the last year or so and can see my life going to shreds i started sniffing roxy 15 first and then gradually increased dosages and moved on to different pain pills till i have found one of the strongest opana's (word of advice stay well away from this drug it is one of the most addicting drugs i have ever seen) i want to end this i have a friend who can get me subs for 20 a pop is that too much i assuming not when i have paid over 80 for a pana 40 in the past also i was wondering can u get addicted to subs and do these pills make one withdraw as well any help would be much appreciated thank you all very much

My friend has a bad percocet problem and wants to detox w/ subs. I can get them for him however how does he take them to detox and help his withdraw not be so severe? I dont want to add to his problems and give him just another exspensive addiction. Any help would be appreciated thank you

im seeing online that alot of people are already trin to do the suboxene treatment themselves and buying it of the street please don't f*** this up for those of us who want to do this right for #1 buying it off the street is strong addict behavior i know i am a addict......one addict cant fool another no what i mean........i would be very carful with suboxone it is a powerful drug just like methadone comming from a addict who wants to help myself the honest way it concerns me because next people will start losing there lives experimenting with this drug suboxone....come on people u know that addicts a smarter than the normal person and if u are a true addict u know that we cant manage any drug by ourselves and thats just the cold hard fact that has to be accepted.....ADDICTION IS NOT A PART TIME JOB ITS FOR LIFE............DONT U WANT TO KEEP YOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!!! You do have to wait 12 hours or youcould be really sick! What I do is take a pain pill (whatever your flavor) at around 7pm and then go to sleep. When I wake up inthe am around 7am it has been 12 hours and I can start the Sub. Its the easiestand bestway to do it.

hello to all.i have just spent about 1 hour reading this entire thread, and i have to say there is soooo much that needs to be clarified.many people here and on other sites are genuinely looking for advice about suboxone and subutex.hell even the people wanting to use it recreationally,i am here to help.i have many years experience with almost every opiate under the sun,and i have studied the ins and outs of them.not sure where to start so i guess....first off buprenophine is what will cause the precipitated w/ by kicking all other opiates off your recepters and slowly filling them.the naloxone is there as a deterant. it doesnt really come in to play unless you want to shoot or snort it and even then you need to take more than 4mg for it to make you even a little sick.it is a long explanation as to why.as for sub induction (first dose of sub),it depends on what you have been taking.oxycontin because of the time release has a half life of around 12 hours.oxycontin crushed or with the coating removed is 6 hours(also any other form of oxycodone ir).heroin is 4-8 and methadone is 36 hours.now,all of that really isnt that relevant people just seem to be interested.what is relevant is your withdrawal symptoms.when you feel your last symptom comming on it is 100% safe to take your sub.by that i mean everyones withdrawal is different.i would start with my eyes watering then light sneezing.next back pains and sneezing getting worse.then nausea, cold sweats,crap pains and everything else getting worse.finally after pooping 1 or 2 solids, the diareah starts along with the rest getting worse.that is when i would take my sub(usually 16-20 hours after my last opiate).and i do 2mg every hour as i deem necessary.i have done this 6 times now and it always works perfectly.the last time i had been using for 3 months and was up to 480mgs oxycodone each day.(and for the people who dont know oxycodone is oxycontin,roxy,percocet,endocet,etc.they are company names and different amounts of mgs).even at 480mgs a day i was able to completely kick in 5 days with 2 8mg subs and ABSOLUTELY NO WITHDRAWAL.as a matter of fact i even felt a little buzz the first day.if done correctly you can make yourself an opiate virgin in just 10 days.5 day painless detox with sub then 5 days more without opiates and you will be once again be an opiate virgin.the first day i go back to opiates i can get completely obliterated from just 1 roxy 30.its just up to you to not let yourself get out of hand again. ive really studied and tested every aspect of subs (other than shooting)to the point where its a joke when reading posts from doctors or listening to anything a doctor has to say.anyway id be glad to help anyone in anyway i can so just let me know.

Me and my girl are trying to get off of oxy's. I have 4 1/2 subs and told that would be plenty since we do 40-80 Mgs daily.....is this true and is 16 hrs long enough to wait before first 2mg dose of sub? We are scared to reverse the effects and be even worse off. Our lives are wrecked And need help but have no insurance and can't afford a consult w a doc. Can someone please help us!?!?!?!?

I'm up to about 10 10/325s a day, maybe more if I have them on hand. I hate it! I want to use just one sub to ween myself off. How should I do this?

Thank you for your responce i believe the same thing the people who use sub to just be able to stay on all the other stuff should not be given advice to new patients who really want to turn their life around and get off the (oxys,roxys,and etc...But given them directions to continue using their drug of choice is ur choice of living an active addicted life.their are real people dying everyday from these opiates , Dont ruin someones real chance of soberity by giving recipes for taking and mixing medications ,its ok to give ur opinion but u should never play Russian Roulette with someelses life.

You must wait until you are having w/d symptoms. Do NOT make the mistake of taking subs before then. I made that mistake "thinking" I was not feeling well. That was a nightmare! If one waits until w/d, the medicine will work very well. Tapper of the subs over 5 to 7 days. That means starting with 8 mg for two days, 4 mg for a day or two, then down to 2mg for a day, 1 mg for a day or two. Then stop. Wait for a day or so then take another 1 mg. You should be OK. Your always going to have some discomfort, but not too bad. Good luck!

I am a former heroin addict and I am now on subs. Im prescribed 2 8gm subs a day but I don't take that much. You will need to start going thru withdrawals first. Don't worry you won't have to wait every long. Do you plan on staying on subs or just to help you get off the pills? If not if I was you I would start out with a half a sub and just try taking pieces of quarters here and there, if you've been taking pills for awhile you might need to take a little more at first but I would only do that for a day or two and then try to bring yourself down. Your gonns be a little uncomfortable at first but just try to do something to take your mind off of it. I'm gonna be getting off subs soon because I feel as if I'm ready and I just hate that I have to take a pill every single day. Good luck!
