This is a nutritional supplement that contains 50,000ius of Vitamin D, this is high potency and available by prescription only. It is used to treat severe Vitamin D deficiencies, Rickets and several other conditions.

As a vitamin, the side effect profile has really not been studied for it, but with such a high amount, experiencing some nausea when taking it would not be unusual.

Valerie, as I stated this is just a nutritional supplement, it should not cause hair loss.

As to the Metoprolol, it is a beta blocker and if you experience hair loss from it, you should contact your doctor. It is actually warned about as a serious side effect and, in most cases, it means the person needs to be switched to a different medication.
