Gemer 1 contains Glimepiride and Metformin, it is an oral antidiabetic medication, used to help lower and control blood sugar levels.

David, for best effectiveness, it should be taken just before your meal. It can take 15 to 20 minutes for the medication to start entering your blood stream, so taking it before you eat gives it time to start its work, by the time you start digesting your food.

Ram, have you consulted a doctor?

They are really the only person that is going to be able to help you find the right dosage to get your blood sugar levels under control.

Are you also watching your diet? Even with the medication and exercise, that doesn't mean you can just eat whatever you want, you still need to keep your meals low in sugar and fats.

Reasons could be several. Need not be a part of family history.

Check your diet (Here diet need not to be heavy meals or some kind of sweets or foods that contain excessive carbohydrates) first. You should take food 5-6 times a day to make your body healthy. Breakfast, snacks (usually diet biscuits) arround 10-11 AM, lunch arround 1:00 PM, snacks again arround 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, if possible light amount of food arround 7:00 PM otherwise directly you can have dinner at 9:00 PM. If you don't follow such kind of diet schedule, then always there is possibility in imbalance of your bilogical clock.

Exercise. Need not to be heavy exercises. But atleast you must train and hurt little your body so that you can reduce your calories. But you need to have proper schedule for this. Either morning or evening is O.K . General exercises like walking, cycling are effective.

Work Tensions - You should able to manage your work in such a way that, you should not feel tensed while working.

These kind of activities will definitely put you in control from diabetic issues
