My best guess is that it has something to do with a specific ingredient or dye that's used in the red and purple, so the other colors should be fine as long as they aren't specifically on the list.

I couldn't eat a red jello but could drink a red juice if it had no artificial colors. All docs have their opinions. I'm not sure why my doc insisted on me raking Suprep when many I know were told to take over the counter laxatives. I think it's because the doctor gets a kick back from prescribing it!!! I won't take it again. It is so nasty tasting!! Putrid is what many describe it as and that's correct!! No side effects just so nasty. I couldn't get all of my second dose down. I got enough down that I was cleared out. I probably didn't drink the last 2-3 oz. make it as cold as possible and use a straw. I held my Nose which helped too I think.
