Hi I recently went to dr. to refill my gabapentine prescrip and he said I was on it too long. I was taking 600 mg bid and I have been off now since Tuesday. I was on it for fibromyalgia. It actually worked. I am going thru some major withdrawls and want to know if it is possible to get it without prescrip. I cant take it anymore ## I'm sorry to hear your Dr is being a ****! I had no idea Gab was a narcotic and that people were abusing it to the point the Dr felt it neccesary to rip it away from you so drasticly! Esspecially for something like fibro! During the course of that couple years I had surgery replacing a disc...

white oblong pill n line another n on the front 300 on the back ## The closest match I'm finding to this pill is Gabapentin (300mg); an anticonvulsant, also used to treat certain types of nerve pain. Manufacturer: Novopharm, Canada. The only thing is, this pill is regarded as an oblong light yellow capsule filled with white powder. It has an "N" and "300" written in a blueish grey. Based on your description, I can only speculate that it might also be from the same manufacturer... Has anyone else here seen this pill before?

I started taking Gabapentin and about 8 days later I broke out in red sores and pimples on my entire back and shoulders. I wondered if anyone has reported such a reaction to this drug. I am now experiencing my throat swollen, red, and scratchy with white pockets. I did stop taking the medication and the skin is slowly clearing but the throat is still bad. Please offer some education back gound on similar concerns to date. Thanks J ## It really doesn't sound like something that was caused by the Gabapentin, especially what you're describing about your throat, that sounds more like a strep infection and the same could be true of the sores and pimples you had on your back, since it can also infect the skin topically. if prescribed 600 mgs of gabapetin 3 times a day, is it ok to take all 3 at bedtime instead of during the day due to drowsiness? ## Hi rita, Depending on what you're taking it for, the usual adult dose is taken orally in 3 divided doses. If you do take it all at once (which you can), then I'd imagine you'd have to take more at some point in the day when it begins to wear off; thus making you take more than you are prescribed to take. Have you talked to your doctor about upping your dosage?
