Recently given this medicine and no exaggeration: Within 20 minutes a ate a 450 cal Boston Market TV dinner, ANOTHER in 15 minutes and two White Castle sliders next. I’ve NEVER hit a refrigerator like a Tasmanian Devil before. If there was more food, I’d have eaten it. Oh yeah, there we’re some mozzarella lunch cheese snack, killed those too! EASILY consumed 1,300 calories in LESS than an hour! While the med IS helpful, THAT’S truth! ## Gabapentin has been known to do that to some people, unfortunately. Most medications in this class, that were originally used to treat seizures, carry a warning about possible weight gain. I tried it, for awhile, but it really didn't help my pain, at all, and it was causing a lot of side effects, so I tapered off of it. Ref: M...

Gabapentin and Nortriptyline were prescribed after chemo nerve damage. I would break out in shingles and barely walk due to pain on my right leg. I took Gabapentin by itself and I was still suffering. After adding Nortriptyline I was so thankful. I haven't had any more pain since. ## That's awesome!!! I'm so very glad that they are working for you. I tried Gabapentin for sciatic pain, but it messed with me far more than it helped, it was causing odd blood work results, making me really tired, headaches, and etc., what the FDA calls the typical side effects. For me, it just wasn't worth continuing to take it. I've never been on Nortriptyline, but it is often used to treat these types of neuralgia. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizzi...

I've been on Gabapentin for two days, taking 100mg twice. Will I have withdrawals if I stop taking it? ## No, there should be any issues after such a short period of time on such a low dose. Why are you stopping it, already? The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, fluid retention, mood swings, and weight gain. ## Okay, thank you. :) I could be wrong but it seems as if Gabapentin only made things worse for me. The pain I was having prior to taking it, seemed to get more frequent. Also, my chest pain seemed to last longer than usual. ## I stopped cold turkey and now have been itching for two days like crazy. ## Try a histamine.

He has corrected me, yelled, humiliated me, and all this has happened in two weeks. I'm walking on egg shells, kinda scared at times.
