I have a very bad neck injury and I'm taking 4 x 10mg oxycodone a day for pain. I've moved to Springfield recently and all of the doctors offices tell me "Oh, our policy is never to prescribe narcotics." Even the hospitals won't prescribe it and have a family practice docs list and at the bottom of the page the disclaimer states none of the above doctors will prescribe narcotics. I need help anyone know a good doctor with in 200 miles of Springfield Mo. who will prescribe oxycodone?

Finding a good doctor in this area is hard. Most do not want to take pain patient! One has to go thru more hoops than a basketball. Noone wil take me! Hopefully momma8 will read between the lines.. {edited for privacy}

Please momma8 will you please text me the doctors name - i was bedbound for years before i finally found the doctor I had and finally had a life for cpl years when he up and dissappeared. none of the docs in his office would even consider me even though I said would go on less meds because he and the pain doctor had a conflict over me; so instead after being on pain meds for ten years im reduced to tramadol - my diagnosis: osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, 3 benign tumors on my lungs (severe copd) was told by pain doc needed a SI joint fusion surgery - but insurance turned it down as it is a new surgery I am back to being bedbound/housebound which meant not celebrating Christmas or Thanksgiving this past year as well as no longer seeing my Grandchildren as I am unable to drive far as my whole right side goes numb - {edited for privacy}, would you text me his name, i am begging!

momma 8 - I am going to beg you to please also give me a doctors name. my doctor up and quit and no colleagues will take me due to the amount of pain meds I am on even though i even offered to go to lower dosage. I spent the last 5 years on the couch laying flat and was told I needed surgery however because it is a new surgery they won't approve it on my insurance. I am desperate. I spent xmas and thanksgiving both on a couch in tears and can no longer visit with my grandchildren. My diagnosis besides arthritis in spine, sciatica, fibromyalgia, and tumors on my lungs. I am begging anyone for help! I will send my next reply the way that Kelsey did as his seem to get thru I have tried twice to no avail!

Like I said I have a doc. Hes is great listened to everything I had to say. & kept my meds the same. Im a little worried about just giving his name, it took me 4 mnth to get it. I would hate for him to get shut down however at the same time I understand everyones pain. Iv tried giving my num before the way kelsey did and it didnt work so im just curious how kelseys got through, it seems as though many have tried that w no luck. So please understand my concerns.

Dr Help; I need your help plz. Live in Arkansas & the pain Dr I see is only one who prescribes for methadone junkies. I have Avascular necrosis in both shoulders and both hips. Have had both hips replaced with 1 hip coming out (4 times) resulting in another rivision. AVN is bone death, plain & simple, resulting in chronic unbearable pain & loss of range of motion. I have 2 young girls I cannot even play with. I cannot work, tho I have desperately tried, but have had no choice but to be claimed totally disabled. I am in my early 30's, cant even have relations with the wife cuz of the pain. I can hardly think, let alone feel like a father, or even a man because of the pain. I have ALL KINDS of x-rays, MRIs, & all records verifying my condition. If the doctors could feel the pain I have they would be more compasionate in helping control the pain. I am NOT a junkie, DO NOT want Morphine, suboxine, methodone. I just need meds that will control pain so I can deal with my wife & family. Am at my wits end, Life is so hard to live when all you can do is wake up every day & wonder is you can use arms, legs, & those are all replaced.It( AVN) has hereditary componates as my father also has the disease. He too suffers daily, but @ least has a caring Dr who is not a pusher or a pill mill.Unfortunatly my dad lives 800 miles away and moving is not an option. Please give me a name of someone who can care and give me some medication for some relief. I have already had 4 surgerys, so there is nothing but pain pills. First of all..im not a crackhead. And if Mr.Help has been helping you..most likely you are the crackhead as I personally know what it is he does. As a matter of fact so does the Springfield police. He wanted me to meet with him and this so called orthopedic surgeon Dr.Clark..who is was just using his name..I was suppose to bring records and my pill bottles so they had proof I was a real pain patient in need..oh yes..and surprise. .he robbed me of every pain medication I had! So please..spare me the "blah blah". Once they find him and all his little buddies..your all in big trouble. He is taking advantage of innocent people who are just looking for a good doctor to help them control their pain. If we was just looking for a damn hook up..we wouldnt be on here..we would be on the streets! Open your eyes!! We are people whos lives have been screwed by the pain we go thru each and every day and MR.HELP just took advantage of our already miserable life! Get real.

People like this is the reason people who really have pain can not or has a really hard time getting proper treatment! This site is for all of us who are suffering from a daily life of severe pain. If we just wanted a damn pain pill..s*** people..people sell the s*** all the time!! But no..we want treatment!! Treatment from a doctor! ! We want to take it day by day.. in as little pain as we can get! But we are not going to be criminal's to get it. We are on here to ask for help and advise!! We are not asking for any numb nut to be our damn drug dealer!! Mr.Help is a scam..thief..low life piece of monkey s***!! And if you dont like it..well you are in a cloud of smoke..waiting for him to take you for all he can get!! How many of us have either dealt with him..or heard all about him?? Hello. I have just found your post online about possible doctors in Springfield, mo. I've been dealing with extreme chronic pain from my neck all the way down to my hips for just over 8 years. Before my life alerting car accident in 2005 I'd already broken my neck and around 25 other bones throughout my body. these caused significant pain but nothing compared to what I am suffering through these days. I broke my back in multiple places and did a large amount of nerve damage. I've had an impossible time trying to find any kind of relief. Due to the accident I could never secure insurance. Always turned do flat due to pre-existing conditions. Now blessed to have insurance through my fiance's work I've been trying ask over again to find a way to get my life back. I've been a prisoner in my body for do long now and I can't remember what real life is all about. The biggest reason I've received about not prescribing me any sort of pain meds is that it's been 8 years, so I couldn't possibly have gone that long so they think I'm making it up. Also, have been denied due to my age of 28. If you knew of anyone that would be of help I would be greatly appreciative. I'm only about 3 months away from losing my house that my family has for so long helped me to keep. My family and myself have run out of resources to keep my home and I know I'm not capable of being homeless with these conditions. Please, if you can help me...

For everyone taking oxycodone 30 or oxycontin I have a wonderful alt.Opana.ER and IR.It is now available in generic with both.I took Oxy 30s and methedone for years.Oxycontin40s as well.The diff between these meds is night and day.I have been able to reduce my pain level to a 4 and even 3 at times.IRs come in 10s.The ERs come in 7.5,15,20,30,and 40s.I take 3-10 mg oxymorphone daily and 2 30 mg ERs daily.cost is way cheaper.I had to pat cash for a time.60 ER 15 mg tabs was $240.90 10IR was $198. It is best pain control med out there.The Gen Activas seemed to be twice as strong as name brand.Hope this helps.Opana does not have the bad name like the oxycontin gets.Good luck friend.

You are begging for help finding a doc that will give you pain meds but the doc that was gonna give you something you don't like because he wasn't giving you Percocet and oycontin. Beggars cant be choosers. If you are in that much pain you should take what you can get. I bet you are either a junkie or you sell your scripts for money to pay for your marijuana habit and the car payment you are now behind on cause you lost your pill supply.
