Finding A Doc To Prescribe Oxycodone In Springfield Mo (Page 4)

I have a very bad neck injury and I'm taking 4 x 10mg oxycodone a day for pain. I've moved to Springfield recently and all of the doctors offices tell me "Oh, our policy is never to prescribe narcotics." Even the hospitals won't prescribe it and have a family practice docs list and at the bottom of the page the disclaimer states none of the above doctors will prescribe narcotics. I need help anyone know a good doctor with in 200 miles of Springfield Mo. who will prescribe oxycodone?

Iv heard Dr. Lueking in lake saint louis is amazing and dr kershen (sp?) Is good as well i heard he writes... writes... writes. He is also in st louis. However w no insurance I can not afford either. Hope that helps someone.

It won't let you. We have all tried and they catch it and delete. I libe in monett and can't find a doctor. Been on perc 10s and roxicodone 30s for 8 years. My doc up and moved..and the new one does not want to give me my meds. Any of u have a good doc in this area

Dr thomas in wanyesville will not give anything higher than 10mg percs (120 a mnth) . And u have to b there early in morning to get a spot in line. And u will b there Allllllllllll day. Literally alllllll day. I was from 7am til 7pm. If u have cash u get called first if u have insurance u go last very last! He does ua and blood draws u must b honest & clean. If ur hurten for real then I guess 10mg percs is good enough.hope that helps someone.

That happened to me...i was dropped after going to the hospital for a horrible kidney infection...but no one ever told me before...good luck

So Kathryn by the ER doctor calling and telling your doctor that he's never seen someone on so much he just stopped your meds? Is that what happened?

Dr. Kershin (sp?) Is in st louis. 3 offices, ofallon troy and wentzville. U have to have a referral and do ua and he will cut u off over ANYTHING 2 friends WENT there and was cut one because cannabis was in their system other because her meds did not come back in her system because she had been out for 2 days before they got her in for her next appt.(that wasnt even her fault) .. and he will not listen to a reason he will send a nurse in to tell tell u u have been cut off.his staff is really rude too... As for the Waynesville doc.... I mean honestly just for 120 10mg percs its almost not worth what u have to go through to get them. Blood, ua, being there 12 hours and u cannot see another doc or even go to an ER for anything or he will cut u. Iv heard hes even called the cops on ppl... so idk. Anyway an fyi ... lueking wld b a good start for someone to get a referral to kershin. Now can someone help me out. I need doc in columbia mo area thats worth going to for legit pain and will give smtjg that helps and not push surgery on me. Really wish we cld post phone num and emails so we cld contact each other to exchange info. I have alot of helpful info.

Mark, schedule an appointment with Dr. Maria Carter right there in Springfield. She's lovely and easy to talk to. They do also other forms of treatments too. Make sure though that you are getting the appointment with Carter. A lot of offices seem to get you in quick and you soon learn that it was to see a nurse or another doctor. Don't say when calling exactly what you need. General rule of thumb is to simply indicate that you just moved there and you need a primary right away to take care of your health. It is not a receptionists business to judge you or to make decisions for the doctor either. Just be sure to take in everything you can including your medical records of your medicine and previous doctors. She is really the only I know of in your area that cares to listen, and then cares for you as a person and patient. They have vitamin shots and some pretty neat methods of care. That has not much to do with pain, but an over-all feeling of wellness does help battle other germs etc. Good luck ! Really no one out there has helpful info except the docs that r posted by me.... I know someone has to know some doc worth going to. Pain management is a joke they only want to do therapy & injections that hurt horribly bad & dont help. Someone help please. St louis, columbia, kc, whereever just want a doc worth going to. Dr. Lueking isnt taking new patients & found out dr kershin will only continue what your already on after u get an epidural injection. And that thomas doc is literally an allllllllll day (12hr) wait just for 120 10mg percs. Theres got to b smthg better

Just went to BMC pain management they give injections if you want a good doctor there are several at river band I was kicked out for a bad urine i took a Vicodin and didn't know it was a big deal. Try there and let me know of anyone else i wAs getting 120 10's from my first visit

Cant anyone just list a couple doctors names? People act as if "we" are going to hurt them by going to their doctor! If we have been diagnosed with a chronic disease that produces severe pain with proof..I dont think we are going to hurt any doctors reputation. Doesnt make since. Due to all the dope heads!! People like myself have to go in everyday severe pain! Yes ive been diagnosed with a severe back condition which causes severe sometimes so severe im in bed for days! I had a doctor and due to my husbands job we had to move. .8 years of strong pain meds..30mg oxycodone 6xday and 40mg of oxycotin 3xday down to nothing! I cant take much more. Please for the love of God..please help me. No mercy doctors. And I didnt like OCH. They wanted to put me on tramadol and hydro! I might as well take tylenol. If you are a chronic pain patient..then you know the pain and depression I am in..im pleading for some help. I live in the monett/aurora area. Will travel.

Kelsey (79) I have been dealing w the same thing, I too have been diagnosed w a severe back & neck bone disease (causing my bones to grow together and its at an aggressive rate, also already have gone threw one worthless surgery) & was on 30mg 2 tabs oxycodone every 4-6 hrs for over 3yrs. My doc decided last month she is no longer seeing chronic pain patients. So for the last month iv been in horrible pain and getting no where. As soon as I call a doc and mention the 30 oxy they immediately say sorry cant except you. However...... I recently found a doc that has taken me & listened to me & is treating me. However listing his name is not smthg I want to do because of dope fiends & that will get him shut down quick. I wish we cld list numbers or emails for contact info. If u can get this.... {edited for privacy}. & I have no clue where ur located so I assume it wld aquire u to travel. Theres also that dr. Benny thomas in waynesville and is deff not worth the drive and being there Alllllllllll Day just for 120 10mg percs but thats an open option for u too.
