I do not have insurance either so I understand the problem. My doctor will work with you on any tests, the initial consult is around $100 -$150 which is not bad considering most places hit you for $300. As long as you have your medical records he will work with you, I get my meds compounded which is another hurdle. Most Dr. or pharmacies do not deal with compounded meds. I get less tylonol so I can take more a day. not sure why they will not post my address, it is hidden. I go by xxxxxxxxxx [1]...maybe it will post it.

I live in volusia , fl today I went to a pharmacist Dr. Arcadia in orange city, fl after waiting for two hours he called me into his office and asked me to sit down, he then showed me a few pieces of paper that included my arrest history (one attest not on my record) with my mug shot, my pharmacy report, my mri that I was required to bring to have my prescriptions filled and my prescriptions. He then proceeded to all me to describe all of my injures, how long I had been prescribed oxycodone, why I was certain other medications. Then because I told him he was asking the wrong person he needed to speak to my doctor the pharmacist said sorry this isn't working out have a nice day! I was so confused and angry I did booty know a pharmacist could do that or why they would! I am angry and want something done he embarrassed me and I don't see how it is fair. It isn't like he was trying to help me by puling my criminal record and questioning my meds I don't feel that is good place please correct me if I'm wrong!?

For the person with the rap sheet and the doctor or the pharmacists having this blows me away unless it pertains to these medications. If it does than I wouldn't expect any healthcare provider to give you any narcotic medications. Even an arrest for alcohol would stop them because of the abuse going on now days. If its anything other than that on the arrest info then I don't know, but they are getting picky about whom they give meds to now days. I'm not surprised with this at all. Its going to get harder and harder to be prescribed in the future. Its not against law to treat addicts but the doctors have to keep a very close eye on these people and they don't want to . Sorry your in pain and this had to happen., but this country is cracking down. Its best to keep your life clean so this won't happen. Wow! I've not heard this one before. Constitutionally this wrong against you but I'm not surprised!

I understand too but even an email you have the option of spamming it if they get too crazy or just not reading it at all. As long as the poster is the one giving it out then they should have to deal with any issues, oh well. Try looking me up on FB, if you search Anton that will mist likely be me, you can that I am from TN, to know for sure.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS due to pressure from the DEA and I assume legislatures my DR has taken me off of my Oxycodone 30mg x 4 a day (which I was on for over 12 years without incident due to multiple accidents and surgeries without any ill affect) and replaced them with 4 10mg Vicodin, which isn't touching my pain and (after a month of lessened prolonged withdrawal barely keeps it from going full blown withdrawal but still no pain relief). The people that just want to get "HIGH" can still get their HEROIN and a pluther of illegal drug easily but I can't get my legal pain med relief which is thoroughly documented from mulitple multiple accidents (hospital records mri's cat scans, surgical scars, etc. What is wrong with this world ? I see a legitimate Dr who is also an anesthesiologist for the local hospitals who knows my situation, more then the people that are tying his hands. I am on the verge of doing something stupid and desperate as my quality of life is in the toilet so what do I have to lose at this point. What really drives me crazy is my friend knows how miserable I am and gave me a phone # for a guy that sells 30mg oxy's for $18 a piece not only am I NOT willing to break the law to get them but I am on disability that is how bad I am physically I barely have money to eat. HOW CAN HE GET THESE MEDS TO MAKE MONEY BUT I CAN'T GET THEM WITH A LEGITIMATE NEED HEAVILY DOCUMENTED, HAVING MULTILPLE SURGERIES, AND ON DISABILITY.......I now understand why people go postal. I honestly don't know how much more of this I can take, maybe the goverment just wants people like us to off themselves because we are a burden on the system, they are making it tempting......Thank you for letting me vent as this seems to be one of the few outlets. People that aren't going through it don't understand.

I agree with you JFK, I have seen th same thing going on. There are many people who need their meeds to lead a normal life and we have professional doctors who diagnose and prescribe us medicine that help us. Then the state and federal legislators regulate and restrict them from doing their job even though they never even took a CPR class or can put themselves in our shoes. What they are doing in reality is forcing many patients to buy their meds off the streets and break the law facing years in prison because they are trying to ease their pain. There is a differnce between from being an addict and being dependent but they fail to understand that difference. There will always be people who abuse drugs or drug laws the same way as people abuse alcohol, guns, food, and driving. Donna is right, we need to unite and flood our state legislators to make our voices heard, there are power in numbers.

I wish I could help you but I can only say that I have been going through the exact same thing in St Petersburg. CVS began not filling certain pain med prescriptions to "certain doctors" but now it seems that they will not fill the prescriptions at all! AND, now all the other pharmacies have followed suit. It's beyond belief and I don't know what to do. I emailed my congressman and called the local paper [got only voice-mailboxes]. I don't know who to turn to or where to go. HELP!!!

I am Donna Ratliff in Lithia FL. My Facebook pic has me with a cowboy hat, boots n jeans standing. My profile says pain care advocacy. I am the FL leader for the American pain foundation. If you can't find me on Facebook. Go to painfoundation.org. Go to search for your state leader. Click on FL on the mapo. My email address is there. If the choice for state leaders is not on the front page then click get involved, a drop down list will appear, you can find your state leader from there. You will see 2 leaders for Florida, pick me because the other lady isn't involved in this part of advocacy. She is nursing home care. While you are there. Join the APF. There's going to be a really great project they have coming out in June. This new project will help patients all over the country to state their horrendous experiences with doctors n pharmacies. When you find me , I will try to help. This is a huge problem in our state. We are beyond crisis. Time to seriously get after state legislators and officials! Start complaining in the hugest way you can. I hope you make it to my group before Monday, we have a project of our own happening. God bless. I know this is hell, they have forgotten about the people in REAL PAIN! I ask all of you to start really bothering our state people in the loudest way you can! This is our way through. It has to happen and sooner than later. I will try to push APF to hurry this new project. So sorry for your pain. This is starting to hurt our familes when providers can't work! The economy is already so bad and now this is the icing on the cake. I am so sad. We have to fight this and not stop! Get loud!

If the people in office had to deal with living with severe chronic pain like the rest of us I highly doubt there would be any problems with getting our medications at all. What we need to do is have everyone combine their frustrations and take it straight to the attorney generals office, if everyone would take the time to make atleast one phone call everyday to their office ( 1-866-966-7226) we might get somewhere or better yet if we all get together and place A class action lawsuit against them (because money is all they care about) for all of our pain and suffering, the cost of gas we each spend driving around from place to place everyday only to be told NO, The cost of us having to stay home from our jobs because we are in too much physical pain to function, and for taking away our freedom to receive the types of treatment we choose, We may actually get through to them and make them remember this is suppose to be A "FREE COUNTRY"

Dear busfan. We have been trying for months to get an attorney to take a class action lawsuit for our cause. They don't want to touch it. I have spoke with many. I guess if a high profile attorney was found, maybe they would consider it. Yes calling your attorney general would help. My group has be able to get the attention of the governor's office believe it or not. I am having a 3 three way conference with state officials on Monday in Tallahassee. I plan to push for results. I have over 680 petition signers and over 73 members that helped to make this happen. Strength truely is in numbers. legitimate pain patients need to stick together in an organized fashion to bring any results. Random people calling won't get you too far but it can help hopefully.
