Have been trying to fill my prescription in Bradenton, Sarasota, and Ellenton. I used to go to a CVS but they stated that they are not allowed to fill them anymore, but all over CVSs in the area say they are just out. Along with Walmarts, Walgreens, Publix, and even mom and pops. Anybody know of where I might be able to fill Oxycodone 30mg x 126

ask your doctor to simply change to oxymorphone(dilaudid) 8mg x 3 a day (for 5 30mg oxycodone instead) i didnt believe they would work for me and was skeptical but nope...they work and work very well and trust me you will be happy...its good to switch up every now and then. you should be able to fill those.
i dont have any issues with oxycodone here in this part of the state...i just am waiting for my appt. next week so i dont have to keep buying off the street.
sad i fought for my country and now cant get my pain meds at all in this county all cause no doctor in this county is taking the doctors patients who went to jail...bs...we didnt do the crime but were getting profiled as bad people when most of us were completely legit.
thank God i have an attorney who hooked me up with a doctor next week...then i just need to fill it like you are doing now...

Most people I know have Bernard able to fill in punta gorda or in port charlotte from here in cape coral. I myself have tried the dilaudid 8 don't like them too used to the oxys I guess. My main issue is that everyone is insistent on the idea that Medicaid will no longer pay for them is this really the case?? I have a Dr appt. I have an appt for the 24 and not sure if I will be able to afford the 200 plus paying for the script also and I get 30 and 15 for breakthrough and I know I can fill in Miami and supposedly out there at Sunrise they are still under 3.00 each to fill?! So there's my wisdom for day for you guys I feel ya on the street kick but be careful I speak from experience ten years ago I got forced to do same and sold ones I didn't take and for 20.00 that was left on my table I sat in county for 18 months fighting a trafficking charge not good. We don't need to give the state any more fuel against us guys so be careful and also watch what you say on here even you never know who's reading this stuff. ;) Anyways I am on Facebook same name look me up if you need to talk or whatever I sit home all day as of late seems all I can do. :( Good luv all and I pray we are all out of pain soon if not already.

dee im in daytona beach fl . went to my dr appt today and had a lengthy discussion with him about the situationand what he says makes sence let the new system put in place have a chance to work the pmp machine which my dr was responsiable for coming up with that the pharmesist runs the script thru to notify the dea which has cut out anyone doctor shopping and the fact that as of july 1st any doctor that write pain med scripts had to becomw state certified which my dr got certified and the changes they made regulating the amount of doses allowed to be described and no longer allowed to have 2 break thru meds prescribed are all things that were put in placeto stop the people that are abusing the pain meds patient and doctors . but the dea is scaring the pharmesist from filling our scripts

OK, my 2-cents worth. Why suddenly unable to fill these prescriptions after months and years with the same pharmacy? My theory.. I hate to say it, but let’s just follow the Money. One of the pharmacists let it slip the other day. I was running from store to store, doing the pharmacy-crawl. Instead of saying "we are out of that" (I believe this is frequently lies), she actually said to me "… we don’t carry that any more, it is not profitable". That explains a lot. Think about it. Something changed. Extra security cost for pharmacy? Yes. Plus Maybe the amount the insurance co pays $/pill, maybe the amount Medicaid pays $/pill, but these corporations are now unable to make the same profit and they simply don't want to bother selling at a loss. If you have 3 or 4 profitable scripts each month, or pay cash, they will probably fill, even though they are "out of stock" for the insurance / Medicaid paitient.
I'm furious. Please think twice, there is an important election coming up in November. Should we blindly follow the business mantra of more and more deregulation? This is a perfect example where the current practice is (should be) illegal. But nobody's watching and they certainly don’t behave well on their own accord.
Thanks for listening.

I can relate to just about all of the posts on this site. I have been in 3 horrible car accidents, beaten to within an inch of my life by my ex-husband and suffer from a birth defect (cervical ribs) which causes thoracic outlet syndromes (nerve damage, chronic pain, numbness, etc in hands and arms). My spine, neck hands, arms, legs, feet and head are always hurting. I have been through everything to stop this awful pain including physical therapy, epidurals, surgery, etc. as some of the others have posted. It wasn't until my pain doctor prescribed oxycodone that I was finally able to have some sort of quality of life. Walgreens was filling my prescriptions for the last 10 years up until about 7 months ago when they told me I could no longer see a doctor that was not in my county (St. Lucie County, FL). I moved here from Dade County FL so my children could have a safer environment to go to high school in. Two of my conditions can only be treated by University hospitals such as Jackson Memorial (University of Miami) or Shands (University of Florida). I went to approx. 20 different pharmacies to try to fill them and they either told me they did not have them or I had to change doctors to this county. That is a lot more difficult then it sounds. I called my insurance company and they told me that they would gladly fill them through their own pharmacy (Humana, Right Sourch RX) This worked out wonderfully since the damage to my arms and hands sometimes makes it difficult for me to drive. Now Humana is telling me they can no longer fill my oxycodone. Apparently the DEA is telling the manufacturers of oxycodone that they can only ship a certain amount of oxycodone to each pharmacy and it is up to the pharmacist to pick and choose who they dispense them to. I am on SSD which I am sure you know is very difficult to be on unless your condition is very serious. I have tried so many different types of medications and they either have terrible side effects that make it difficult for me to do anything or make me sick or they don't work on the terrible pain I am in. How can a pharmacist decide which patient should have their rx filled? I am physically disabled and pharmacists are not doctors nor do they know anything about my medical conditions. The DEA are also not MDs nor do they know anything about my conditions that cause me so much pain that I cannot live a normal life. I am in the process of contacting some attorneys to see if there is anything that can be done for those of us ( especially the physically disabled) and those that suffer from chronic pain that have no other options. Why do we have to be punished and suffer because of the people that abuse drugs? There will always be those that abuse substances. They should be helped not thrown in jail. Substance abuse is a real medical condition and the answer is not to make people who need pain relief suffer.

Don't vote for the current Governor. His brother is a drug addict and was running several "pill mills" as well as selling drugs out of his house. That is the main reason he is trying to stop Florida pharmacists from dispensing oxycodone.

im disabled and not liking your news...im going to that county next week and i live 1 county over...the walgreens there told me they cant talk on phone and theres no doctors here inside my county-literally...unless you have top notch insurance your not getting in(thanx to the recent bust on my old doctor) so i called my attorney and he set me up next week with dr in st lucie and well see. i have 2 options...try to fill here(i think i know 1 place i was going too) or move. im waiting on my disability case hearing in Jan 2013 before i can get medicaid even so this is very tough on legit people and really sux. theres some things i would like to say and do but wont. I ah never mind...

I have been on oxycodone for over 4-5 years, because of the severe osthoarthirithis in my left knee & hip. they won't replace my knee due the fact of my age 43. So my Doctor who I've been going to for over 7 years began to prescribe the drug for me. I'm not addicted to them, I take them for pain, and I use them only for myself!!! CVS & Walgreens NOW which I've used them for along time, act as if they don't know who I am and they could care less. Everytime I go since about 2 months ago, they're out EVERYTIME!!!! So it really pisses me off, because the people that really needs this drug just to maintain a normal life daily. Are punished, because people have decided to misuse it. I think they should be worried about the Meth, Crack, Cocaine, Weed, Synthetic Weed, and Ectasy!!! That Should be enough for them to be worried about, instead of hurting people that are already hurting!!!!!!

people keep saying on this site that "im not addicted to the meds and only use it for pain" well, I am using mine for pain only too, but dont kid yourself...we all are addicted to this medicine but theres a difference from us who although may be addicted...need the meds for pain. Most people on this site are legit or they wouldnt be posting.
I have been sick off and on now since july 1 2012 and finally today going to meet my new doctor that is hopefully going to take me on(attorney referral and doctor referral) so I feel pretty good about it...then step 2 is i hope my pharmacy fills the rx he gives me and this is the part I am more nervous about than anything. but i will post news later. my doctor is next city over(10 miles but crosses county lines) there is no law which prevents them from filling and am hopeful since its a mom pos pharmacy ive been using for a long time and know someone who went there last week with out town doctor and he filled for her so well see. theres no law...just up to the pharmacist. and as long its within 90 miles or as close as possible. I feel pretty good about it today vs a month ago when i was grasping at any doctor just to avoid the aweful withdrawl, and pain lying in bed staring at the ceiling most of the day. Obviously i had to go thru the whole withdrawl and have been bedridden since july 1. I used my last oxycodone today to be able to get to this doctor and not be sick. hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.
i was shot in face and neck making my jaw shattered into pieces and neck requiring a 14 hour 4 level fusion with rods. etc to help hold my neck up..thank Jesus i am alive..and not paraylized. i just hope i can return to a semi normal life and am praying things go well today and put the last 2 months behind me.

FINALLY FOUND A DOCTOR AFTER suffering since june:) not only does my doctor see me but the cvs around the corner from his office fills my rx for me and they are in the county over from where i live. Im so happy...pain level is down along with the stress of not having to stare at the ceiling 24/7 but now i can actually get around somewhat...very happy and with all the trouble getting meds filled, i just got lucky finding the pharmacy to fill much less its a cvs so thats what really surprised me is having a big chain filling for me.(it took 5-7 other pharmacies not even looking to fill it before i found cvs) so im feeling blessed and it is no law the pharmacies cant fill its their discretion. Im pretty clean cut and dont look like a drug abuser so i think this helped as well. i am having excellent results so far with my new drug regiment for my pain. I now get oxycontin and roxicodone for breakhrough. which is working so much better than the old doctor giving me ms-contin(sucked didnt work at all for pain) with oxycodone 30mg every 4 hours for breakthru.
now i get the oxycontin for round the clock with 30mg oxycodone every 4-6 hours as needed for breakthru pain. all i can say is WOW... what a nice combination for the extended time release of the oxycontin holding steady and when i get a sharp pain or whenever the pain hits, i have the 30mg ir oxycodone for breakthru and hits immediatly while the oxycontin hold it steady for the best combonation of meds for pain relief ever to date for me. I was worried i knew i had the doctor via my disability, but was worried living 1 county over in the next town, wasnt sure that i would be able to fill it. it only took 5-7 pharmacies but found a cvs with a nice pharmacist who actually helped me and will do so on monthly basis. its been a long 2 months to suffer but thank God i have a new pain medication regiment and am feeling so much better. Amazing the stress is gone like a weight off your shoulders. I hope to hear some other people having better luck filling your rx's even if you are 1 county over. I have alot wrong with me too which is all in record and after he checked my history on the new computer system, was able to fill both rx's no problem and just wanted to thank everyone in the forum for listening to my whining about the entire system and its flaws and was scared like the rest of you about getting the meds that work for you then the hard part-filling them. I just got lucky and was actually going in to ask how much this rx will cost and he took the rx, asked me what am i taking it for(like its any of his business) but i told him the short answer-neck injury/face/jaw and titanium plate in jaw, 4 levels cervical fusions from 2010 and just living in pain(better than being paralyzed like i almost was) so ide rather have to deal with pain and meds than feeling nothing at all. I am truly blessed and thank Jesus for giving me another chance in life to do some good in the future.
hope everyone has a great weekend and hope many of you are getting the meds you need and able to fill it like i was able to do this week.

i went to my dr out of county(i live in IR county/liscense) and st lucie county filled my oxycontin and roxicodone...couldnt believe it. i went to 5 other including walgreens and couple others and got lucky i guess at cvs. everone else told me to "kick rocks" pretty much but surprised not one b****ed about my id being in the city over-and county...so very happy and cvs will have my meds every month. i like having a major chain and still am so happy i found a pharmacy that doesnt judge me by the scripts but seemed to really care about me being in pain. Thank you Jesus for getting me through these past 2 months until i found a doctor/and pharmacy. hope you other members are having as good of luck as i have with my doctor. my pain level dropped a little and im sure once my dr adjusts my meds next visit to make sure the meds last the full 12 hour time release instead of just getting 7-8 hours out of it...that where the roxicodone comes into play..this medicine works the best for me since 2000 and other than fetanal patches or dilaudid, oxycodone is the only drug that kills my pain enough for me to do some things and am so happy i finally caught a break...have a nice weekend people.
