Fill Out Of State Oxycodone Prescription Need Help!

Hey, i got a serious question. I live in PA, and i just happened to find a clinic in the michigan area with a good doctor. so my question is if i go to michigan and get a script for pain meds, how would i go about filling the script. being from PA, do i even have a chance of any pharamacys in the area filling it. I know i have a less chance if i bring the script back to PA because no one will fill it if its out of state. can someone give me some helpful insight on what i should do so i dont waste a drive and money. please help.

Last summer I went out of state & had a Rx due the day after I was set to leave. I called the pharmacies in MD & they said they couldn't fill an out of state RX. They said I had to get it filled in the state where it was prescribed. Lucky for me, my doctor approved an early refill & I enjoyed my trip without worries with my pain RX. I also asked the pharmacies in MD about taking it to a pharmacy in my state & getting it filled in another state. If you're paying cash it's fairly easy to get it filled in Michigan. I've seen a commercial about CVS helping to get RX filled so if you can get the DR in Michigan to call it in to PA, you'll be set!

also, to add to this. The clinic im going to is a cash only clinic. Im just curious what are the chances of this being a pill mill. There is not much information on the doctor im going to see. I called the clinic and when i told the lady i was coming from PA she didnt even ask why i was traveling so far. She just said the visit is cash only, and when i asked how i would get my prescription filled she said they have a pharamcy who takes all their patients as long as i pay cash. It sounds like a pill mill to me. The lady didnt mention any type of treatment i would receieve there, and had no problem answering questions about where i would fill my script even though she has never met me.

also to add to this. the clinic im going to is cash only. when i talked to the lady at the clinic i told her i was coming from pa which is 5 hours away, and she didnt even ask why. She didnt say any kinds of treatment i would recieve there. But she answered my question when i asked where i could get my script filled since i have an out of state id and she said that a pharmacy around the area takes all their patients. does this sound like a pil mill? 200+ a visit cash only. it has to be a pill mill right?

I LIVE IN MICHIGAN AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND A GOOD PAIN CLINIC FOR ABOUT A YEAR. CAN YOU GIVE ME ANY INSIGHT INTO WHERE THIS PLACE IS THAT YOU ARE SPEAKING OF? Go to a doctor in PA! Doesn't that make sense? Why in the world would you drive two states away to go to the DR? There are no Drs in PA? When you start doing what you are thinking about doing, this screws things up for the people who need to have their medication filled each month. A DR in PA is equally qualified and in my opinion, if you are talking about traveling to a different state to get medication, this medication is obviously not available in your area and if it is not, it is because of people like you that are wanting it for other reasons than for what it is for. There are tons, TONS of other medications out there that can help you, but obviously not one you like or can sell? RIGHT? Having chronic pain is NO JOKE and makes life unbearable at times but, what even makes it worse is when there is pain and no relief because people like you are TAKING the medication from those who need it.

Definitely a pill mill Guy. Be careful some of these places can only fill on site for a three day supply. But I have been on these meds for years live in pa from Mich w valid Mich DL. Family I'm Detroit. My Dr here stopped writing when herndon went down and gave me nycenta. Made me ill. Its been three months without my meds and I can no longer work or get around like I did. Withdrawal over this is just how it is w my pain. I will drive to Mich to get my rx can u share clinic info and let us know how it went. There r some pain clinics in pa that will write for vicoden and lortabc and percocet. I was on oxy 15mg 4x day x 2 yrs...and never had a problem filling them anywhere. People on another thread said cldnt get em filled in pgh...is that just 30s. I did have a mom n pop store price gouge me big x. Went from 90$ for 120 to 180$ for same rx. Just because of the Florida bulls***

You can't CALL In a schedule 2 narcotic you have to present a paper rx. Now maybe they can take a FAX or mail it to ur pharmacy but ur waiting n driving back to pa. I have had to travel before in midst of rx being due and my Dr wld never fill early said any pharmacy out of state wld take it. He wouldn't believe me that wasn't not true and had to reschedule my vacation around my rx. Now I'm off the meds..Dr stopped writing offered nycenta..made me horribly ill. Did not help my pain. Neither did the oxy but it made it more tolerable..never gone tho.
