Doc out of town and office cannot sigh prescription for 25mg fentanyl patch...I have a 50mg can I just cut it in half to use until Doc back in town? ## No, the patches are specially made to be controlled release and cutting them in half could actually cause you to receive too much of the medication, at once. How did you end up running out early? When is your doctor due back?

My husband had prostrate cancer which metastised to the bones, ie chest and back, he gets pain and we want to know what tabs to use - have been using synap forte - 2 -4 per day, and myprodol. please help ## I'm not sure what all is available for him to try there, but you may want to ask his doctor if Fentanyl is something you can get that he can use. It is a very potent narcotic pain reliever, which is available in several forms, though it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. I have a vial of fentanyl 50 ml single dose vial. Is it still safe to inject? ## It wouldn't be recommended if it expired back in 2007, not only has it lost some effectiveness by now, but it is also likely that some of the ingredients have started to settle out, which could create risks of blockages, if you try to use it. Are there any other questions or comments? ## What do you mean by blockage?

I HAVE BEEN ON FENTANYL PATCHES FOR 10 MOS. THEY WORKED FINE BUT IN THE PAST FEW MOS. I HAVE DEVELOPED BURNING ON THE SITE AND THEY FALL OFF IN ONLY 36 HOURS. ANY HELP? ## Have you talked to your doctor about it? How about your pharmacy? Is it possible you received patches from a different manufacturer? There may be a different inactive ingredient in the glue that's causing these problems.

I have a Doberman rescue that is in severe pain due to a bone lesion from a injury from abuse, although it could possible be cancer, but the specialist thinks otherwise. We put a 100 mec/hour patch on yesterday at 2:00 pm. This is his first patch, and he is still in pain 30 hrs later. It has made no difference. He will have to be put to sleep if this is not working, as this was our last hope. He weighs 72.3 lbs and we placed the patch on the shaven neck area. We put superglue around borders because they do not stick well to animals. How long does it take for a dog to feel the effects? We want to give it a chance, but do not want him to suffer . I am 9 months out of L3-S1 fusion and ligament repair, still unable to work and still suffering from the side effects of "F" word as i call it and oxycodone and neurontin. The combo of all of them make me nuts. I am hoping to taper in May but my doctor made no mention of tapering until i did. I am concerned that they knoe i am not going to get better so they are not concerned. However, i don't k ow that i am improving any more. I improved until end of Feb. And then i started having more pain, the pain in my legs and hip came back and numbness in feet. I am convinced i have permanent nerve damage. The dr said the numbness may never go away. i suffer with chronic pain and am on fentanyl 50mg, my next perscipyion will be for 75mg, My question is do they make fentanyl in any other form because i seem to be allergic to the glue on them. I have a friend that is on the fentanyl patch and she sometimes watches my 3 month old baby. my question is could it cause harm to my baby in any way from just touching her skin./have been very worried about it. I was wondering if the medicine could come through her skin at all from sweating. Just curious. ## I've never read any warnings about it being a problem, but you may want to check with a doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. Most of the warnings just state that the patch should be kept away from children and they shouldn't be allowed to handle it and play with it. In most cases, once a medication is absorbed, very little actually expels back out of the body through the skin. Are there any other questions or comments?

I am on 50 /MCL of Fentynal I get watson ngel patches .sadly do to my weight problem from being a wheelchair for a year I called watson asking where is the best secure place to put the paches they said NOT below the waist the sides of my body of chest which my chest is too hairy to even think of that. How much adderall can be taken while wearing a 25 mcg transdermal fentanyl patch? ## Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Adderall and Fentanyl. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Having said that - in my opinion, it would be ok to take these two medications together. However, as far as proper dosing goes, I would simply suggest following the dosage guidelines on the Adderall packaging. If in fact you do end up experiencing undesirable side effects, it would probably be in your best interest to stop taking it and try another medication or holistic approach to your condition. I'm not finding any interactions listed between the two, but you should always double check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. You also should take the Adderall according to your doctor's prescribing instructions.

when i get off my 100mcg patch to early, i get freezing cold ,is this some withdrawls,if so,how long will it last and what can i do to warm myself up? ## Yes, some minor withdrawal symptoms, such as this, can be normal if you are taking it off early. When I stopped pain management medications cold turkey, the best way I found to beat the chills was to soak in a nice, hot tub for awhile. A shower may also work. Is there anything else I can help with?

Please explain to me why your company took at least 3 plus days to deliver the compounding base formula of Fentanyl to the pharmaceutical companies to prepare and deliver the product on time so that patients like myself and so,so, many others didn't have to suffer this past week. My appointment was changed by my doctor 3 times and my Interthecal Pain Pump had been alarming for 2 of those days. Even after starting my break through medication I still detoxed. Been on Fentanyl 12.5 for 3 months. Also taking Tramadol 50mg/2 pills every 6 hours. Been getting hot flashes like crazy. 10-15 times a day. Have read that Fentanyl may cause this.
