Fentanyl Benefits

Fentanyl is a very useful medication if taken exactly as prescribed and never altered in any manner. If you want to stop using a fentanyl patch consult your Dr. Do Not Ever discontinue without a doctors recommendation. Do Not Ever use this or any medication that has not been prescribed to you. NEVER share medication with anyone, keep in mind you can be held responsible for injury or death as a result of sharing your medication. It's not worth it!

Some tips:
*** If your patch is not sticking to your skin, try using a Tegrederm bandage made by Nexcare. A bit pricey but worth it to avoid withdrawal if your patch isn't properly sticking or showering causes it to raise. I always put on my fentanyl patch then I cover it right away with a Tegrederm bandage.

*** NEVER EAT, CHEW or otherwise alter a fentanyl patch in anyway. Cutting a 100 mcg fentanyl patch into quarters will not make each 1/4 a 25mcg dosage. SERIOUSLY this is dangerous! DEATH can happen if you eat, chew or swallow a fentanyl patch.

*** Remember a fentanyl patch can be up to 80 times stronger than morphine, be cautious and NEVER use fentanyl that has not been prescribed to you. NEVER SHARE this or any medication with anyone else.

*** ALWAYS follow dosage instructions provided by your physician and use your medication as prescribed. Seek information from your Doctor or Pharmacist regarding questions or concerns.

*** Do Not submersed fentanyl patches in a hot tub. This can result in overdose.
