False Positive For Benzodiazepines (Page 11)

I have been testing positive for benzos and i cant figure out why. I have been taking suboxone & Ondansetron & promethazine. Thats it. If i fail another drug test, then my doctor is gonna kick me out. If anybody knows of any common substances, prescription or over the counter medications please inform me. Thanks

The Ativan. It's a benzodiazepine just like Xanax, Klonopin. I hope this helps.

I am seeing a Dr. for sublime and Elavil. I am in treatment to get off of opiate pain medicine. I take a drug test every visit and test positive for benzodiazepine but I don't take any. Is there an explanation for why this is happening?

I have a prescription for Wellbutrin, Norco, Methocarbamol, Amitriptyline, and Maxsalt. Will any of these show up as benzodiazepines?

I've been coming up positive for benzodiazepine. I take atripla, divolproex, tramadol, mirtazapine and aleve (naproxen). What could be causing the positive results?

I was in a program and I was coming out positive for benzodiazepine. The doctor told me that the buspar was causing a false positive urine. Now that I'm in a different program my counselor tells me that buspar does not cause a false positive urine.

I take klonopin and wellbutrin and celexa as well as requip, but my hair test showed alprazolam (xanax)?

I'm in a drug program. I was tested and my urine came back positive for benzodiazepine. I take propranolol. I'll probably be kicked out, or serious disciplinary actions will take place. Why did I come back positive?

Um...apparently Zeus or whichever god is real to you doesn't have much power over false positives. Not sure what anyone's God has to do with finding out what causes drug tests to be inaccurate. You brought it up so thought I'd recommend doing something more than just praying to clear your system out. Doing ANYTHING other than taking more of the drug you want out of your system will be more effective than praying.Try drinking a biblical flood's worth of water. As much as you can.

Does benzoyl peroxide 5% contain xanax? I failed a drug screen for benzodiazepine. I do use benzoyl peroxide 5% cream for acne.

I just tested positive for benzos on a 10 panel drug screen at work. I take morphine sulfate, zanaflex, flexoril, ambien, amytryptyline, ibuprofen, sodium naproxine, benadryl, phenylephrine,and gabapentin. I've been paralyzed from the neck down, had a 4 level spinal fusion in my neck performed twice, lower back disc surgery, still have herniated discs, degenerative disc, broken hip, broken legs.....I've been through it all. Now I'm at risk of losing my job due to the benzo positive. What is going on? I thought 10 panels were dependable.

I'm prescribed 600mg pregabalin a day. Recently I also took 140mg worth of 10mg diazepam tablets. I was tested the day after and came back showing benzos in my system. Since then I've stopped taking all forms of benzodiazepine, but am still testing positive about 2/3 weeks later. Could pregabalin possibly show up as benzodiazepine on a urine test?

I also test positive for benzos and I have not taken them but my doctor had me start taking an allergy med last week. So I bought an over-the-counter allergy med and someone told me that there's an ingredient in there that will make you test positive for benzos. so please look into it so you don't get kicked out good luck

I posted a reply earlier today. I wanted to add something. I also take Suboxone among a few other meds. I have tested NEGATIVE for benzos up until this week. I added the OTC allergy med per my doctor and now I'm testing positive for benzos. I am also in a drug addiction program and the positive for benzos could really hurt my ability to stay in the program. My doctor has agreed to send my test into the lab so that they can do extensive testing on it. I pleaded with her because I have not taken any benzos. Has this happened with anybody else?

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can cause a false positives in benzodiazepines. I know because I'm an RN, BSN. Good luck to you!

I am in a Transitional Center in Atlanta and I fear being sent back to prison for testing positive for benzo. I take Prozac, Risperidone, Amlodypine, Hydrochorotbiazide, Atroirastatin, ASA (asprine), Levothroxine, and Nitroquick;
Also CTMs. Why am I getting a false positive on my urine test? I use artificial sweeteners too?
