False Negatives In Drug Screen Test

I have been taking oxycotin,xanex ,&adderall for over a year.. My doc doesn't require urinalysis unless there is a suspicion or once a year,he does a routine one- so in January 2012,the beginning of year-I hafta give em my pee- the tests come back & his nurse manager(who has a some sort of power/control issue) calls me in her office to inform me that I am testing positive for opiates. I nod my head yes because as far as I no - Oxys r opiates- according to her.. They r not in the same class or some BS that I really didn't pay too much attention to because I new that I hadn't done anything wrong- she described my results as: +opiates(like loratabs,vicaden,-hydrocodone) & she tells me I need to c her again Ina week- & has my scripts written for a weeks worth... At this point, I leave& decide that since I'm not doing anything wrong,next weeks test will prove it or she will figure out that the test was screwy... Something?!?! Well it is march 16,2012& I have went in there every Friday since beginning of year& my results have been totally baffling- she had sent them out to a lab( + has the lab on site test it) & it had came back saying that my levels r 0 for xanex& oxycotin- she sed it says that I have oxycodone present but the "parent drug" oxycotin is not... Well I no damn well that I have taken 3-60mg oxycotin/daily along w/3-1mg xanex daily & both of them were on the results as " may or may not b present" ... I can't believe it- first of all- I am very dependent upon both of them & 2ndly- y the hell wood I screw w/ a weekly doc visit that is never less than 2hrs each time if I weren't taking them???? She sed that the only time she's seen anything like this,the patient was putting the actual drug in their pee to insure a positive reading- I'm trying really hard not to b disrespectful to this b_tch but after week 10- my patience r very lo-- she will not allow me to c my doc until my labs r considered 'pass' ... I have serious problems w/my over-all health at this point... I'm constipated to the point that my full bowels r pushing my bladder out of my vagina & I feel like total s*** 99.9% of the time- the pain meds r for my buldging discs in my lower back & the xanys for my sanity& adderall for my adult ADD... Like I mentioned b4- I am aware that I am very dependent upon these meds & I don't particularly enjoy popping 9pills a day at age 39 but this is wat my doctor & I decided a few years ago as an alternative to surgery. I need to no y my urinalysis r implying I am not taking my meds!! Wth???

I know this probably will not help, but my doctor of 20 years had me pee tested as part of a new office policy for 2012.I thought nothing of it since I was taking Percocet 5/325, a total of 4 tablets a day which she prescribed several years back for 2 compressed disks & arthritis.I had a gastric bypass in 2007. I, too, tested negative.She said I was either not absorbing them, diverting them to others or selling & "the lab doesn't make mistakes!"You & I are living on the same world.

Well, in this case, the parent drug IS the Oxycodone, that's the active ingredient in Oxycontin, it is just a name brand for a time released formulation of it, so I really don't know why the doctor is saying that. Oxycodone is what would show up from it in any drug test.

And Becca, I saw your other post, so you may want to look for it, but while the lab may be accurate, the tests are not always accurate.

I go to a pain clinic and am given 45 5mg Norco twice daily since Dec 2012. I run out because its only 21 day amount and its been 4 or 5 days I really don't remember but they gave me a urine test and it came up negative and they want to kick me out?! I'm baffled what can I do?

For the constipation have you tried Docusate/Sennosides? The VA has me take 3 8.6mg tabs twice a day and sometimes a fiber drink. If I don't take these constantly, I'm backed up really bad.
