Fda Rules On The Effectiveness Of Opiates

I've been hearing about FDA rules or a scale of effectiveness of opiates. Does anyone have information on what this scale is and what effects this has on the customer managing their pain levels?

I may be wrong, but it sounds to me like you might be referring to an "equianalgesic (or opioid) chart", which you can find online with a simple google search. Basically all it is a reference that compares things like potency, efficacy, duration of effects, half-life, etc, from one opioid/opiate to another.

I think the implications behind knowing how these medications compare to each other is the most helpful aspect in and of itself. This way pain patients can become better informed of their options for managing pain and where they currently stand with regards to the meds they may already be taking relative to something else.

Pain doesn't affect everyone the same way. Also other meds that are taken have to be factored in when a dr is managing a patients pain along with age and possibly other health issues.

I don't know what we can do about this. They know nothing about me haven't read a file, spoke to me. And they get to handle my meds. I don't think so it most certainly not right.
