Extreme Irritability

This medication has turned me into a monster! I hate everyone and everything! I wanted to lose some weight and have tried other methods, Paleo diet, weight watchers, etc. Nothing worked. Since taking this medication, I have lost some weight but now have extreme irritability and anger at everyone and everything. My husband said he would rather have me fat and jolly than mean as a snake.

The Bupropion in this medication can sometimes cause that in some people that take it. It is actually classified by the FDA as an anxiolytic and some do cause the opposite of their intended effect in some people. When I tried it once years ago, it made extremely nervous and jittery like I'd drunk several pots of coffee, so I had to stop taking it.

Other side effects may possibly include nausea, headache, dry mouth, insomnia and anorexia.

Have you consulted your doctor? There are a couple other new weight loss medications on the market that you may be able to try.

There are a couple of other new weight loss drugs on the market. You might want to ask your doctor about them. You are right it is not worth it to take a medicine that does not make you feel like yourself.
