We also have a bottle of omedex plus from Mexico says it is esomeprazol equivalent of 40 mg red and white capsule no writing on capsule should I be afraid of it ## Omedex is listed as being a Mexican brand of Esomeprazole, which would be known by the name brand Nexium in the U.S. However, it is difficult to know if that's what they actually are, which is true of almost any medication from Mexico. I want to know whether sompraz 40 and nexpro 40 are same medicine with different nomenclature. One of my family member was advised to take sompraz 40 along with other medicines. However, after biopsy report, the doctor has advised nexpro 40 in place of sompraz 40. Since the new advice was received by post, it is not possible to contact the consulting doctor. 2 weeks ago i had malaria and was given Anti-malarial tablets, but during the course of medication, i started feeling burning in my stomach up to the chest. My Dr gave me Esomeprazole for ulcers and said if it continues i should go in for an endoscopy; but till now the burning continues and I am really so uncomfortable. A friend of mine recommends that i try using Pylokit for treatment. Please advise me ASAP. ## idk what pylokit is, but I do know with omeperazole and sacrafate aka sulcrafate helped tremendously while the omeperazole kicked in. My endoscopy was done 1 week ago. And ulcers and H. Pyroli was found. Among other things sompraz 40mg was prescribed for 1 month. 1 before breakfast, and 1 before dinner everyday for one month. I was recently diagnosed with duodenal ulcers with biopsy samples revealing the existence of Pylori. The doctor prescribed hp kit for 7 days. Then after that esomeprazole tablets 40mg BD for 3 weeks will this work to cure me? Secondly I was also swallowing libraxin but the side effects attributed to muscle weakness and arthritis like feeling on my shoulder joints it was so painful I work up at night so I decided to stop libraxin and continue with the other medications. Whether to take Esomeprazole before meals or after meals or during meals? ## Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions, unless directed by your doctor. This is a combination medication that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach and increases intestinal motility by increasing the frequency of contractions in the small intestine.
