It contains Aspirin and Codeine, so it's a narcotic analgesic and yes, even several years from the time of the posts asking, in 2013, it is still available. I know they took this drug off the market....Is there another drug that would be similar in effect? I used it for knee pain....Tramadol does not work. ## Based on my research, Darvocet-N 50 (acetaminophen + propoxyphene napsylate) is a narcotic (opioid) analgesic combination indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain.
