Effects Of Althea Pill

Hi! I have pcos and my doctor advise me to use althea on the first day of my menstruation to regulate my mens. After 8 days of my last menstruation day, I bleed. I thought its my menstruation as I am irregular. But, during my 1st day of bleeding, it was very light. I only used 2 panty liners. After the 1st pill, bleeding turns to brown and it stop so I stop taking althea as I am thinking that it was only ovulation bleeding.

Is it right to stop taking althea and am I correct that it's an ovulation bleeding? Pls help thanks.

i've been using althea pills since i was also diagnose with PCOS. for me its natural to have that kind of blood color if you bleed. as for me the first time i took althea its very light red almost transparent then brownish. i just continue using althea then it becomes normal. i think it extract anything that wasn't flushed out during normal menstruation.

Hi I had the same concern as yours. I also have pcos, sabi ng OB it's normal wag daw istop after sometime pag naka adjust na ung body babalik na sa normal ung mens at wala na din bleeding sa susunod... 21 days nga ako my bleeding eh hassle lang pero sabi ng OB eh. Dapat daw wag istop ituloy tuloy lang.

Bench and Tracy, Thanks to your reply guys. I'm glad that I'm not alone with that condition. Well, anyway, Sadly, it was a false alarm so now I'm almost done with my first pack. Now my dilemma is, since I have a pcos and my mens is irregular, what if I've already finish the whole pack and still no mens, should I continue the next pack or wait after 7 days then continue the pills without waiting for the menstruation to come. Please help? Thanks so much in advance and God bless everyone!

Hello po, ask ko lang kasi this is my first time na mag take ako nang althea. kasi hndi na nag karoon nang menstration, mga 3 yrs. Mahigit na po... so, ko siya i try para maging magkaroon na nang means every month... Is it safe po ba?

Hello po, same dn po ng saakin my pcos dn po aq at bilateral dw po. Ask lng kng natural lng b n nahihilo at nasusuka s morning? Ilang pills tab po b ang maiinom bgo po aq mag karun? The first 3 days q plang po umiinom.

Hi Jade! I think its better if you consult an OB first. Kasi having no period for more than 3 years, baka may underlying condition ka. Its safer and more accurate if galing sa doctor yung meds na i-ttake mo :)
