Effectivity Of Nordette Contraceptive

Hi, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I went to my OB last week and she told me that I was ovulating. And then my boyfriend accidentally ejaculated inside of me. After 20hrs I took the first 4 pills, and took the next 4 an hour late (because I fell asleep). Help me please? Is there a possibility I could get pregnant? Please, I'm really scared.

Hi. I know my response is out of the question. I'm just curious as to where you can still fill a prescription for Nordette. I heard it's already phased out. I just really needed one at the moment.

Hello. I took the 4 pills 11hrs later and took another 4 pills after 12 hrs. What should i do? Shall i take them now and will it still be effective?

If taken within 72 hours, it is effective. You will have withdrawal bleeding after a week maybe. Watch out for common side effects like mood changes, crampy lower abdominal pain, nausea. But sometimes you wont experience these.,

But just to make clarifications I took 4 pills exactly 11am and took the 2nd dosage 4pills at 11am instead 11pm because i fell asleep. And tje coming night 11pm i took another 4 coz i felt it will not work.is it okay that i took 12 pills all in all?

So you took 12 pills in 24hours instead for just 8 pills in 12 hours. Am i right? Did you feel anything? When you read literatures, it says that you can take it within 72-120 hours. So it means that if you have all the ecp in your body within 36 hours ( in your case) , then the ecp should work. Do you recall at what day of your cycle did you have sex? Is it unprotected?

Yes. we have unprotected sex jan.19 and at the same time it was my last day of menstruation. Then jan. 20 exactly 11am i took 4pills. But the 2nd dosage which is 4pills i took it by jan.21 11am.
And was afraid if it will not work so i took again 4pills jan.21 at 11pm. Does it still work?
I felt like to vomit and feeling always bloated

In my opinion, it will work since you had unprotected sex on the last day of your mens. You have not ovulated on that day nor fertile. You are feeling the side effects of the pills. You took more than the recommended dosage within the time frame so i think it will work. The side effects will be common. My case: we had withdrawal method sex with reinsertion on my fertile day( according to my phone app). I took the ecp on the 3rd day!! I bled after 14 days! Pretty Scary right? I also felt bloated, crampy and mood changes was worst! Well, I just finished my period now.

It's still available on Rose Pharmacy as well, We just bought one earlier today.. I just wanna share my experience. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I had an unprotected sex and it was my 1st day after ng last day ng period ko. I took 4 pills of nordette today 8:30PM and will be taking 4 pills again tomorrow 8:30AM. I'll just update you guys after..

I got my period today.
exactly after 7days of taking nordette.
But my mens.this month just lastd jan.19

After 7 days you had bleeding. It is the withdrawal bleeding brought about by nordette. This might count as your mens already. The next mens would come early or delayed and Within 2 cycles, sometimes you wont know the real thing. Its like nordette distracted your real mens so anytime you should be protected always. For the meantime.

Hi, i would like to ask if taking the Lady pill as an ECP is effective? We had unprotected sex Feb. 4th at 7pm. I took 3 tablets of Lady (scared from side effect) but i dont feel any side effect after that. Then i took the 2nd dose feb 5th at 5pm but this time i took 4 tablets then we (again) had unprotected sex feb. 6th thinking that the effect of the pill is still active. Should i take the 2 dose again? Or should i take only one dose? I need some info about extending the effect of ECP and having sex after the 2nd dose. Thanks.

Hi everyone, just want to ask you guys if normal lang ba na sumasakit yung ulo after ng withdrawal bleeding? Last Jan 26 ako nagpost dito at 6 days after noon nagbleed na ako. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit after ng bleeding sumasakit yung ulo ko. Jan 2 ako nagstart magbleed, naglast until Jan 5. Please, I need your opinion. Medyo napaparanoid na ako. Haha. hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit sumasakit yung ulo ko after ng bleeding. :(

I've been taking nordette for 2 weeks already which is 13 pills. Am I already protected from being pregnant? I'm wondering if it's already safe. I'm confused because others are saying that you should wait for 1 month before doing it without a condom or something but on the back part of
the nordette packaging it says that you just have to wait for 7 days after taking it. Please help me! Thank you!

Hi. Very irregular some may experience. Some cycles will return to normal after three cycles. However,some do not experience these irregularities. The symptoms you are experiencing may be another cycle coming. Safe fr pregnancy? that is, if you did not deed anymore after taking the pills or after you bled.

Hi. Yes its the side effects of the ecp. It means that the ecp had worked. It would last in a couple of days. Do take note of the bleeding day because it might be the first day of your mens again for the cycle. Although some do experience irregularity until the 3rd cycle, some do not. So observe your bleed days. Impt to take it down for reference.

IF you will have your bleed in a couple of days, it means that the ecp has done its job. Right now, you cant do anything but to wait. Doing pt right now if you will contemplate is not advisable either. And taking ecp now would just give you more chaotic side effects. We wait for the bleed. Just give the benefit to the condom since what has been done was already done. Its really anxiety that is so hard to deal with but its always that path that we have to take. Stay positive . Think that you took the first dosage in the right time and thats the most important step for ecp to work.

Hi. Did you took another round of pills again? I think when you took the first round, the pills should be working already and ready for the withdrawal bleed which should occur 7-10 days after the first dose. Since pills have golden period/effectivity period within 72 hours and your re-deed falls within it, i think it could cover the duration already. If you redeed it after say 5 days after your first dose, some would retake. But most of them do not redeed after intake of the ecp. You see, when you take ecps, you have that anxiety of the unknown— will you get preg or not, right? So most of them wouldnt redeed not until they bleed again because thats the sign that they are on the safe side. In your case, 18th is just 2 days fr 16th, so you dont need to retake again.
