Sorry to hear what happen to your husband..
Sounds to me that you have grounds for a lawsuit..Get your ER Medical Records ASAP! and only give copys..
I called PURDE and told them that if i find out that the rashs on my neck and back are from the OP i will sue, once i said that PURDUE would not talk to me anymore..It might be a good idea to call then and tell them what happen...the # 203-588-8000.I feal that they will change back to OC ..the more calls the BETTER.. AND THEY ARE BECOMEING OVERWHEL W/CALLS

yes when i get my op's which i will eventually..i will hope for the best and be the one they don't make sick. Because am tired of struggling with painful conditions and trying eerything under the sun to deal with pain. However should the new op's make me ill..i WILL go after purdue with a vengence and sue them for all their worth. I have never in my life sued anyone..but at 62 am tired of being a test rat. If i lose a kidney because of the BHT ..my family will live comfortably after i'm gone. Its time to hold those who make life/death descisions to accountability. Also am sick over the corrutption purdue practices. On their website they claimed only those who complain of side effects are abusers. What a s--tload of crock. Although there is some truth in that statement..there is MORE deception than truth.

Did you ever think that not every chronic pain person abuses there meds. When a person is truley in pain, most will use there meds as prescribed. Its people like you that cause people like me to lose priviledges to narcs. You should think before you speak and not pre-judge someone who you do not know.

I guess I will stay on this web site to see how all of us with chronic pain will carry on with the new "OP's". What a great new drug they have put on the market for us. Purdue will not and don't want to hear from us. THEY are right and WE are wrong as to the way these new and improved pills work! I have suffered now for the last three months. But I just got a letter yesterday from my insurance company and they will NO LONGER pay for my oxycotin. So I am out of the game with Purdue. I am on total disability and will never work again. I cannot and will not pay out of pocket for a drug that sucks. So I am going back to my Doc. in the next few days to see what is out there that I CAN take and will take me out of pain. Good Luck to all of you that continue to use oxycotin, my prays are with you. Keep in mind that Purdue is standing on their soap box and will continue to tell you that this drug works just fine and it's us that have it wrong.

Thats untrue..I was told by a purdue representive that the new op's WERE not tested. Also the BHT is what is making ppl. so very ill. BHT in rats caused kidney failure. This is very toxic. Someday you will be in dreadful pain and when this happens then come back in here and tell all us cpp how great op's are.

Crying every day... no sleep.. bad pain and aching has returned. Why did my medicine stop working?? I have no relief, no way to sleep without touching an aching spot. I am back to my lazy boy all day and my outer thighs and hips are pinching. All the pain I actually was able to manage, has returned with a vengeance. Worse even. Why?? My oxycontin is smaller but I would not think THAT would change it from working. It is like it is not the same drug anymore. Why is this happening??

It is The FDA (food and drug administration) that made Purdue change the formulation of the oxycontin. Our government wanted them changed Purdue had no choice, they fought it for about 5 years. It's the government that everyone has to thank not Purdue or the Doctors.

does anybody that takes this new op pill.have really bad problems going to the bathroom the old ones would cause some Constipation but nothing at all like the new op. i cant use the bathroom at all when i took the new ones..i never would get a poop pain.nothing i took like Stool softener or even stuff the docs gave me to use bathroom would work until i stoped useing the op's the doc took me off them and gave me opana he gave me alot less dose but it works the was the old ocs did for pain, and are alot stronger then the old ones thats why they give less mgs of it.a 40mg is almost as strong as a 80mg of the old oc.and not much Constipation at all.anyone that hates the new ones get the doc to switch u to another med that is like the ocs, like opana or Dialudid K4 they r ok too but not as strong as the old oc or the opana...

I want to let you know how PROUD I am of you. Your are the 1st person that has taken the blame for what has been done ! You are right, they have taken away the old pill's due to PEOPLE'S CHOICES !! The one's that abuse them are just going to find some thing else. There is NO way they will not abuse some thing else and may be even more deadly. I wish every one had the gut's to do and say the truth. I am thankful for people as you, problem with drugs or not, at least you are a good and truthful person which all I have saw on these form's are how to STILL abuse them while the rest of us (as myself) are truly suffering due to them. There is not one doubt in my mind they are going to find some thing different that they can abuse and kill them. Some one even said (and it made sense, just because people are snuffing paint thiner and such as cleaner are they going to stop making that, along with glue that they sniff? NO) but to take some thing that REALLY help's the one's that are suffering with chronic medical conditions that NEED the old pill's back we just simply can not get them and the new one's do not work and they have A LOT of side effect's that the old one's did not and they do not work half as well. I am a 50 year old woman that has 6 grandchildren and I use to be able to play and hold them, now I can not even do that, I sit in a chair all day because I now am inconstant pain, I am not saying the old one's took the pain away completely because they did not, but it made the pain A LOT more easy to do thing's (anything) now I can not even hold my grandchildren for 5 minutes because they move around too much, there is nothing worse than a feeling as that. I need help just to get out of the bed now where it might have taken 5 or 10 minutes before, but at least I could do it on my own. I can not bend over to clean the tub, or run the sweeper, or get the wash out of the washer to put in the dryer, people do not think (or care) what they have done to the one's that really need the old one's back. I have called Purdue and the F.D.A. and was told they will never bring them back, so we are just out of luck and will have to suffer for it. YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH CREDIT I (AM I AM SURE A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE) GIVE TO YOU FOR STEEPING UP AND SAY WHAT YOU DID. IT MEAN'S A LOT. at least it mean's a lot to me, and I want to say THANK YOU FOR TAKING RESPONSIBILITY. We need more people such as your self. I MEAN THIS WITH ALL MY HART. NO ONE ELSE HAS CARED ENOUGH TO DO AND SAY WHAT YOU HAVE. You have proved to a lot of people, even if they have a drug problem, they are still human and do have feeling's. I would like to talk to you one on one but if I put my number on here every one would have it and I do not know any other way but THANK YOU AGAIN. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU, AND I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU. Maybe you could write the F.D.A. and Purdue, I am sure it will not do any good, but who know's it may. HANG IN THERE AND KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING. YOUR PARENT'S SHOULD BE REALLY PROUD TO HAVE A DAUGHTER OR SON? SUCH AS YOU.

Dear in pain, you don't state WHO you are speaking too. You are the 74th blog on this site. Go back to number 1 where it started and you will see, we have had our share of abusers, junkies or whatever you would like to call them. But I'm standing on MY soap box now. WE (everyday, every hour, every minute in chronic pain) are trying to find a way to either switch to another pain med., get advice, give advice or just plain vent! My stand is to call, call, call and re-call Purdue! I believe that's our only hope here. I was told (don't know if this is true) but Purdue pulled this little stunt before and HAD to bring back the oc's. That's why I am saying call and recall. Hope this gives you a little insite as to what this site does.

I just want to put this out there for all. I in no way condone abusing drugs. But let's all face it. When we are in constant pain all the time we will do almost anything to relieve it. I will not give instructions on how to snort or Iv or 'plug' this new OP....but I will say this. You will need all your stomach acids to properly digest this pill (break down the nasty plastic matrix). So, take as little as possible of your Prilosoc, Zantac, and other such meds. In fact, you may even notice that you will need less of them due to the fact they they will be needed more to break down your OP. Also, take you OP with Cola....Coke being the strongest, but I find Pepsi works also. That will help to break down the pill faster...and that cannot be called abusive. If you do need IR, bite a small piece what ever you did previously and using your front teeth get into as small of pieces as possible. This will also help for IR. This stuff is awful with the glue-like plastic goop s**t. They will later find it's cancerous....just watch! Anyhow, hope this helps!

Everyone, medically dependent or junkie, needs to shut up. We just need answers, not 2,000 posts from people actually prescribed this s*** who are high out there damn mind thinking that talking s*** on a forum to junkies is gonna accomplish ANYTHING. This causes the offended junkies to fire back and then the forum entitled "Easiest way to remove new oxycontin OP coating" becomes some stupid argument. Anyone who talks s*** on a forum to people they don't know/can't see/will never meet must be high. Everyone shut up and get serious. Lets just get to the bottom of this situation so people (who are gonna do the s*** one way or the other) can get high safely. What if someone was really jonesin and they needed a real non-smart-ass answer for getting high with these new pills, didn't get one, and shot up some gel because they were freakin out..........and died. All your ivory tower high horse bulls*** did was kill someone. Lets just act like adults; adults who need to get relief safely. If you're medically dependent your an addict, and if your a junkie you're an addict. Anyone else is recreational I suppose. Either way we all want to take these new oxy's safely.......bottom line. Be honest and be truthful. Didn't your momma ever teach you "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all"? If you see a question and you can help.......then help. Otherwise you need to shut your f***ing mouth.

I'm taking the new ones and can't stay awake. I'm in stage 3 of the lungs. I've been successful getting the old ones by asking for generic, and according to my pharmacist, the old stockpile is classified as (generic) until they run out. I'm still getting mine. Hope this helps for those of you who are terminal or medically required to take these Meds. Good luck!

Rodney - Kudo's to you! But you didn't read my post about alot of these posts are REALLY from Purdue ACTING as junkies! You are right about us being addicted medically. I don't know about you, but I have NEVER got high.(I admit I was a pothead in the early 70's but that was a long time ago, left there too) My Doctor said it's because I HAVE pain and the pills know where to go. Where a junkie has NO pain therefore the brain doesn't know where to send it, there's the high. And I am afraid to tell you and everyone else, Purdue has No intention of bringing back the old oc's. Maybe if we as real people that need that relief to live, unite and call, call, call, and re-call.
PS My prayers and love are with you Stage 3!

I AGREE WITH YOU 100%. DOCTORS THAT HAVE PERSCRIBED THIS AND NOW THAT IT IS NOT WORKING THE SAME AS THEY USE TO, YOU WOULD THINK SOME ONE WOULD DO SOME THING ABOUT IT. AS FAR AS CALLING, I HAVE CALLED AND CALLED AND BEEN TOLD THE SAME THING YOU HAVE. I DO NOT KNOW THAT MUCH ABOUT PAIN PILL'S BESIDES WHAT I HAVE TAKEN AND I HAVE NEVER ABUSED ANY THING BUT I JUST DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I HAVE HEARD SO MANY WAY'S TO MAKE THE OXYCONTINS WORK, IT'S UNREAL, I SWALLOW MINE AS I AM SUPPOSE TO AND THERE IS A REALLY BIG DIFFERENCE BUT THE DOCTORS SAY'S THERE IS NOT. THERE IS SO I HAVE WENT FROM LIVING A 1/2 NORMAL LIFE TO SITTING IN A CHAIR ALL DAY. I CANT EVEN PLAY WITH MY GRANDCHILDREN AS I COULD BEFORE, I HAVE 6 GRANDCHILDREN AND I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN I CAN NOT HARDLY EVEN HOLD THEM, I THINK THAT HURTS AS MUCH AS MY PHYSICAL PAIN. THANK'S FOR YOUR INPUT.

hurting with no real help - what is the web site that you went to, to reach the White House, our President does smoke, so maybe, just maybe, we can get someone to speak out in out behalf. It's just another place to go and it sure can't hurt. If you give me the web site, I'll go and see it I can't get some help for all of us. This JUST isn't fair. My Doctor is under investigation because of his opiate patients! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE!!
